The US is something but it can't be said to be communism, I don't think. How is the US communist? Rhetorical question as you never explain your positions. I doubt you know much about socialism or Marxism either (not saying I'm an expert).
I'm sure you have some socialist views as well, you just don't know it. Yes they sell these socialist utopian ideals to the little man but in practise the US is hardly communist.
I'm not trying to diss you, like I said I dislike the current clown world. But objectively speaking these liberals are running circles around you in this back and forth. Your instincts are good, they align more with mine but you can't argue worth a shit.

The key component of capitalism is the price system. Yet, in the U.S you have a Central Planning Agency, The Federal Reserve, which has complete control over the most important market price: the price of money.
That said, the United States is not a pure socialist economy because of the large private sector but there are large swaths of it that are highly intervened, like the healthcare and education systems which not surprisingly are highly inefficient.
