Buff Bagwell, at Big D Flea Market
« on: June 01, 2021, 01:56:33 AM »
The money this guy probably made w/ WCW for 10+ years (in the millions Im guessing as they were paying out crazy money),
And now he's getting into accidents monthly and promoting flea market appearances.

I mean I know he is 51 but still you want to call yourself Buff Bagwell you need to do better than this even at 51. Is that leftover Synthnol in his arm I don't know but its not a good look whatever it is

Looks like shit.

On another note, has anyone seen the recent docu on The Ultimate Warrior, Jim Hellwig? Very good. Very touching. However, at one point, there’s a clip of a later-years Warrior telling some fat kid he’d never touched steroids until he was 295 pounds. Totally ridiculous. Even at his biggest (pre-WWF fame) he was likely not 295.

So he becomes gigantic without steroids and then begins to use them and drops 20 or 30 pounds?

Seems legit.

Having said this, Warrior seemed to be a complex and tortured fellow. A good guy, too. I also like his now-famous quote, “Queering doesn’t make the world go ‘round.”

One more thing. His two daughters have grown to be sexy things. The one’s cans are “ultimate”. Things are jiggling something fierce in the clips of her doing her ballerina dancing. The other looks rockin’ in her little shorts while she’s training kickboxing (or whatever that is).

I mean no disrespect to Warrior. Merely that his daughters are attractive. They seem grounded and intelligent, as well.

His wife’s telling of his final moments had Fortress misty.

When Warrior was in the ring, making a speech, the day after his WWE HoF induction, he was purple, gassed, out of breath.
I thought he did not look right, something was wrong.
Next day, dead.

People make fun of Plaumbo (and people like him) for now being skinny, but, that is how all former meatheads should be.
(Dave has plenty to poke fun at, but downsizing and getting as healthy as one can, is smart).

Plus, how is he going to make fun of Blechman 24x7 if he's dead? Steve would have last laugh.

She comes across, always, like a genuine, sweet woman.

I saw The Darkside of the Ring episode on Vice but I haven't seen the A&E documentary yet.  Hellwig had a website up for years claiming he was natural. ::)  During his WWF days he could have gotten a commercial deal endorsing Anadrol-50.

I, too, remember thinking he didn’t look well. Clearly his health was failing.

When he climbed onto the edge of the ring and meekly grabbed the top rope and shook it in his patented move, I felt very sad.

Despite his flaws, Warrior is one of my all-time inspirations.

Why was he an inspiration?

I related to his intensity, lone-wolf persona and fierce loyalty to seeking internal inspiration.

His powerful body was merely a cool component to what was already an intriguing character.

To the fans, yeah.  To his co workers he was lazy, selfish and wouldn't even bother to learn his craft requiring every other wrestler to carry him in the ring.

That’s the established “inside scoop”, sure.

I think differently.

He was always an outsider. At no time was he welcomed as a member of the fraternity. He was not a partier, nor was he anyone’s property.

I’d argue he “carried”, at least in large part, the federation during an era of its rising, but fragile, profile.

The enormity of the responsibility thrust onto his shoulders after he’d only been a pro wrestler a few short years is unimaginable.

He “fell” into the business and worked it in the ways in which he was capable.

We could argue this all day and all night.

Not interested (although I value and respect your opinions).

Warrior was, and shall forever be, misunderstood. In ways he did himself no favours.

When all is said, however, he was his own man.

He has my respect.

You should see recent vids of Steiner.  He looks like a melted candle.  Still wrestling.  Ugly ass tats everywhere, still wearing an nWo shirt to wrestle in, still attempting to "flex".

Dude is completely in denial about how he looks.

Could you imagine seeing Buff (or Steiner) out in public somewhere and saying :

you - "hey you look like Buff Bagwell"

He - "I am Buff Bagwell"

you - "yeah, right... Buff had muscles.  You don't."

The death blow to his ego would be heard from miles away.

Why was he an inspiration?

Saw Jim in Golds Venice a few times.

True story... The character he became, The Ultimate Warrior.  He was a huge inspiration to a lot of guys I knew. I never made any connection.

He was a crazy motherfuckre in the ring. Great physique.
