I had a Range Rover years ago about 2-3 years old. I left the sunroof open it rained shorted the computer and the insurance totaled the entire vehicle. I would not recommend

And they have had that issue for 20+ years and never fixed it.

Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator both are nice with a lot of room.

If you want to be mistaken for hebrews go for it  ;D

My wife yes, she drives the kids. Baseball soccer etc. But, when we go somewhere I drive and want to be comfortable because we take her care. Those three came up when I googled the best SUV for a tall person. I’ll pay for comfort, if I can genuinely get it. I’ve heard the Navigator is very easy to drive in.
The problem is when you’re driving alone which will be the majority of time it will feel like driving an empty school bus.

The GLE AMG coupe is my drive of choice.  Pure driving enjoyment.  8)
Warning: the Sport+ mode is addicting... and thirsty!
See them daily in my neighborhood, ugly.

You are going to lease or buy?  If it's a lease maybe you don't care about reliability or resale value as much.  FWIW my friend with a range rover had his break down twice and needed it towed both times at less than 2 years old.  Other friend with BMW X5 raves about it.  Another with the cayenne likes it, but I think if you're going to get a Porsche why get an SUV.

One of the great cars, like the Rav-4. They run forever and the maintenance cost is nil.

Yes, I am in the US.

Are you referring only to the LR? I do like the Lincoln and have been a Ford man in the past.

That applies to all three...While Lincoln is corporately under the Ford canopy...I would say if you have your heart totally set on an SUV (yech!!)...I would say get a decked out Ford with the options that the Lincoln has.

Ive had a Toyota 4runner for 10 years and never had an issue besides a flat tire. Great vehicle but not luxury.  Maybe this??

My wife is thinking Range Rover. We always lease so could care less about maintenance.

Wife drives RR sport, waste of money. She loves it but doesnt know any better. Hardly any boot space for prams or family items.  Shell keep onto it until the motor blows.  If I had my time again I would definately get the volvo xc90.

I’m tall and have back issues so when I drive I want to be totally comfortable. Also, most of us getbiggers are somewhat vain so I’m not going to lie and say I think I “deserve it” a bit. I’m looking at Range Rover, Navigator or Audi type vehicles. Any insight, real insight, would be appreciated. I know this is the place to come to for luxury advices...

I know several folks who own Audi's. They speak very highly of them. Since you are tall, you might start by looking at interior dimensions such as leg space.

Just don’t drive one with an expired warranty

OP if you are super tall I would look at something full size like a GMC Yukon Denali.

Went with the Navigator because of the massage seats. Escalade had them too, but there’s now stock. The Denali doesn’t have the massage seats and that was a deal breaker for me. The cool thing, which we will see if they live up to it, is the Navigator has a four year 50,000 service contract where they do all service free of charge and bring you a loaner vehicle to drive while you wait for your car to be repaired. Paint and interior are also guaranteed for five years. Time will tell if they live up to the expectation, but the car was probably the most comfortable I’ve ever rode in. I’ll keep my wife’s suburban for myself in the mean time, or if I get a silly offer on it, sell it. It’s crazy what used SUV and trucks are going for right now.

Luxury all the way. Good choice. Which model?

The top model Navigator is almost 3 times the cost of what I payed for my little Mazda CX3 in 2016, but it is also 3 times the vehicle. Too much for little old me who hasn't managed to put 28,000 miles on my car in 5 years.

I went with the Black level trim and the long version. For me the interior on the Black was nicer but it also was the one that had the extra service incentives. While not totally free, because it’s built into the price, if it’s how they say it is the convenience of it can’t be matched.

That Navigator is huge. It would just barely fit on one stall in my larger than usual garage. Convenience is never free.....not when it comes to personal vehicles.

My little Mazda has only cost me somewhere between $500 and $600 in regular maintenance service fees at the dealership over the past 5 years. There is nNo need for a loaner because the longest I have ever had to wait for it is about :45 minutes.
