No need to. I believe you. One thing I question is that if walking and running requires the same energy output, why do people more readily sweat when running as opposed to walking. I believe one does burn slightly more calories when running, but they likely cannot keep the higher intensity for as long a period of time.

As far as I am concerned at my age, walking is fine. I liked running outdoors  when I was younger and more surefooted. These days, I worry I'd be more likely to trip and/or lose my balance and fall. Falling is more of a danger for us old folks.  :(

Tough when you can't google everything and have to think things through. The difference is intensity. Running is far more intense and heats up the body much face than walking.

5 decline bench reps 15-40
5 flat bench reps 12-20
4 incline bench reps 10-15
2 sets crunches 100,100
2 sets calve raises 100,75

With all that pressing do you bother training triceps separately?

It burns about the same calories to run a mile regardless of speed.

Calories per mile in walking depends for heavily on speed.  Your “normal/easy/comfy” etc. speed has the lowest cals per mile and walking at faster OR SLOWER speed burns MORE calories per mile.  At a very fast walking speed (like fastest possible speed without running) you can burn more cal per mile than running.

This is all well known exercise physiology stuff, not speculating or contentious.

No way and when i run hard, shower i sweat again ..not sure about the so called after burn effect people also talk about in HiiT training. However more benefits from running than power walking. Better to run/walk   break it up.

I walk the beach there is no need to run. If you are walking that is plenty it's not about calories burned during the walk it is about speeding up your metabolism. I will get plenty lean if I walk more no need to run. You do not need to kill yourself to get in shape you need to be consistent.

Can't Google that? Are you sure? I mentioned intensity. Guess you missed that part.

Only an idiot would argue, that you would burn more calories running a mile, rather than walking that same mile.

Of course, running taxes the body more, therefore causing more caloric expenditure.

You will always burn more calories running vs. walking, given that you are traveling the same distance.

It's a well established thing.  An example from a scientific review article (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0167945717303433) is attached.

The "calories per mile" of very fast walking is very high, maybe double what it is when you walk at a "normal" speed, and is usually a little higher than the calories per mile of running at that same very-fast speed (or any speed; for running it doesn't change much with speed).

"Very fast" here is FAST, not like "out a brisk walk", it's like 5-6 mph usually.  Try that next time on a treadmill, it's not easy.

OK i will base it on my own training and that tells me what works for me. I do not care about charts and studies on the internet. I workout my way and that is my thing.
no hate bro. peace

You burn the same amount of calories per mile, walking or running, and it's all about the time regarding calorie expenditures. Let's say you burn 100 calories per mile. So if you run 30 minutes you my run 4 miles in that time, and if you walk for 30 minutes you may walk 2 miles, so after 30 minutes of work you've burnt 400 calories in your run but only 200 calories in your walk.
