Can you show me a video of strict standing barbell curl 200 lbs, no body swinging, no against wall, no half squat knee bounce, arm fully extended from the beginning, upper body keeping up straight during the full rep?

Strict curl by defintion is against a wall without a wall it is called a cheat curl they have contest for cheat curling and the numbers are much higher

Cause when just “strict” standing curl it would not be as strict as curling against a wall. Very simple to understand really. Even when you think you are very strict curling it wouldn’t be as strict as back against the wall.

By defintion it is cheating if you are standing without a wall behind you and yes absolutely, I can curl a lot more without a wall behind me that I have to keep my butt and back on. A strict curl is much harder not sure what part of that you don't get.

 I hit a 156.5 in my first last and only competition December 10th. I did a 157.5 Jan 11th. I am doing heavy singles again with the Goat Jan 28th. I have a feeling he is going to attempt an unofficial world record that day during training he is prepping for the Arnold now so I will go for a new PR myself that day.

I am not certain but I think BigRo has done that or perhaps even more for reps on a video he put up a few years ago.  I am admittedly forgetful but perhaps someone else here recalls seeing that video?  BigRo is a good man and very strong.

The wall actually helps you keep the curl strict.

I can’t strict curl, that’s not my field, I am an IFBB pro.

For standing barbell curls, no against wall, no body swinging, no cheating, I can only do 110 lbs.

It's basically pointing out it is a gimmick lift that involves certain definitions of what counts (weird bars) and technique tricks that become less about pure strength than just standing and strictly curling without cheating.

You can see them push back hard against the wall during the lift, if it wasnt there they couldnt move the weight without arching and cheating...
