so, it's much easier to do standing barbell curls, can you show a proof you can do it with 150 lbs?

Use this video as the standard.



Again it's not my job to explain and justify to you what a strict curl is by all means go read the rules and figure it out yourself. If you think it is easier without a wall preventing you from pelvic thrusting the fucking barbell try it both ways and find out.

Do the knees need to be locked? 

This uses some hip power to complete.  I think all the videos posted with jeans or baggy pants like this allow that to be hidden, hence the required singlet at the meet.

Because you said you could, and it is easier than strict curl against wall.

There is no somehow,your body remains super straight and you curl with biceps power alone.

Nothing should move except the bar as your biceps alone perform the curl.....hence the meaning of the word STRICT

No swinging,no momentum, and no bending forward or backward at the waist.

You`re not doing the above with your back against a wall,and obviously your poundage would be greatly reduced.....this is why your boy started this Mickey Mouse bullshit.....he`s good at doing ballistic 3/4 rep curls while almost entirely skipping the eccentric portion of the movement by quickly dropping the weight into the bottom position rather than lowering the bar in a controlled manner under biceps power alone.

I almost feel embarrassed for you competing in this clown organization.

Which Clown organization? The USPA? I am planning to compete in 4 Strict curl events this year with 3 different organizations using 3 different bars which require 3 different hand grips. The second to last event being the Mr Olympia in Orlando Florida in November which is sponsored by the United States Powerlifting Federation it's the biggest powerlifting organization in the country which is why the Olympia is hosting them. If any of you are competing at the Olympia in anything by all means let me know.

There is no eccentric portion of a strict curl you dumb twat how many time do I have to explain that????

The Seated Military Press:

The seated military press is identical to the standing press, except it’s done while seated on a bench instead of standing on your feet.

Here’s what it looks like:


The seated military press requires either a dedicated station, like this . . .

To do the seated military press, place your feet flat on the ground about shoulder-width apart with your toes and knees slightly turned out.

Press your heels into the ground to keep your upper back and butt rooted in place against the back of the bench.

The rest of the movement is just like a standing military press.

The first thing you’ll notice about the seated military press is it’s significantly easier than the standing press.

This is why many well-informed strength training experts like Mark Rippetoe say the standing variation is better for developing whole-body strength and muscularity.

A study conducted by scientists at FacSogn og Fjordane University College supports this claim.

In this study, the researchers had 15 young, healthy lifters perform both the seated and standing military press with 80% of their one-rep max (1RM). The researchers also attached electrodes to the men’s deltoids, biceps, and triceps to measure muscle activation.

To record muscle activation, they used an electromyograph (EMG), which measures the electrical activity within a muscle. More electrical activity within a muscle indicates more muscle fibers contracting, which translates into a more powerful stimulus for muscle growth.

That said, there are a few drawbacks to the standing military press that you should be aware of:

You won’t be able to move as much weight.

So fucking what I still did 2 easy sets of 8 reps after doing 4 sets of heavy bench press anyway you do the math I am repping 150lbs for overhead presses but anyway I do it you will all claim it isn't stuct enough and doesnt count so why bother

Because he wouldn`t move the bar one single inch and would probably snap his spine trying.

He knows he can`t do it.....the organization founder made it easy because he was good at doing 3/4 ballistic reps with zero negative portion of the exercise.
