The wall gives you something to brace against, to give you opposing force. This allows the biceps to do the work. Trying to strictly just use the biceps to do the work in a standing biceps curl with the same weight would turn into a big cheat curl as there is no support. Again to achieve a similar strict only standing biceps curl the weight would have to drop dramatically to stop any swinging or momentum.
Try doing the standing curl with your 150 on video if you swing, then drop down in increments to see how much lower you have to go to only partially move your body when performing the curl.
No one is debating the fact it isn't strict to do it against the wall

Im astounded that he cant see that having your back braced and your legs out at an angle doesnt make a strict curl easier that a standing strict curl.

He seems to believe that its inevitable that you would cheat.

Then again he thinks a quater of an hour is 10 or even 20 minutes.

No one is questioning his strength for strict curl against wall.

What we really want to see is how he can standing barbell curl 150 lbs without cheating, which he claimed he could do it easily.

Everything we questioned about him, he immediately provided video proof.

Why is so hard to show proof that he can standing barbell curl 150 lbs without cheating?

They have to be fucking with you on this. Anyone who knows anything knows it’s harder to curl when you cant move your body. I usually curl standing against a pole or wall then to continue the set I step away from said pole or wall and get double the reps I did against.

Rob, you are missing the point just like hankins

If you tried to do a strict curl without leaning against a wall and performed it without any upper body movement at all apart from your biceps you couldnt lift as much as you can when leaning against a wall.

Leaning against the wall allows you additional leverage by stopping you failing the lift by leaning back

Try it in the gym

Try and curl the same weight as you would do hankins style against the wall without leaning against the wall and do it strictly with zero upper body movement

I bet you are 20 or 30lbs down on the lift

Prioritizing bicep training must cause blood to temporarily stop pumping to the brain resulting in brain damage. There really is no other explanation.

Can you curl a 15lbs bar just moving your arms (strict curl) and not moving your body or would you need to be up against a pole or wall?

You're no longer doing a "strict" curl. You're now doing a "cheat" curl as you'd be using some momentum/body english.
