I know people who take it every day and have been for a long time.

It's legal where i live.

I take 2-3 grams if i need to sleep. Maybe a few times a month.

It's pretty amazing for mild pain relief and relaxation. But it makes me very lazy. Some strains give you energy, but i haven't experienced that yet.

But i am concerned there may be side effects we are not aware of.

My friend took it a few times a day for 3-4 months and had crazy dreams and withdrawal symptoms for a week after he stopped.

For me, it worsens sleep. I sleep a couple of hours and then unable to sleep. Well, sometimes having taken it I manage to sleep a full night but often it worsens it. I get more of the energy people talk about.

It's very mild ime, and taking more doesn't make it much stronger.

It can have mild rebound anxiety effect to it.

It does do something, but it is mild. It is an opiate. I just took some, going training. Mild painkiller and loosens up your body without making you nod out.

It was classed as a narcotic here in Sweden a long time ago. What happened was sellers mixed in a synthetic tramadol metabolite and lots of people had problems.

It is not an opiate nor is tramadol it is also misclassified. An opiate will give you the itch if you take enough regardless what kind Synthetic or not. Neither Kratom nor tramadol will give you the opiate itch at any dosage

I don't have much experence with opiates but Tramadol sure had me rubbing my face.  Wonderful drug as long as you don't get addicted. Antidepressant, mild stimulant. Great for work or workouts. I just noticed I'm rubbing my face now a little.

I've been using White Maeng Da and Red vein.

The Red Vein makes me sleepy.

The white seems to be very relaxing.

I was taking 100-200mg of Tramadol a day for about 4 months due to serious knee pain.

Almost itched my nose off my face a few times.

I feel it on Kratom if a take a few doses throughout the day.

A few weeks ago i went camping and took a few grams 3 times throughout the day, by the second dose i could feel the itch. It also makes me fidget with stuff a lot, almost like i'm hyperactive. My GF has commented on it.

I had some Maen Da red, some other red and green types, some "yellow" type.  TBH I didn't notice much of a difference between them. Red was supposed to be good for sleep, green for energy, but it feels all the same to me
