You ever wonder, "What's next?"
« on: October 08, 2021, 11:59:57 AM »
For the last 1-2 years, our collective realities have all changed due to COVID.

We now live in a world where masks matter and where "rolling up your sleeves to save lives" is a real thing. Here in the USA, it has literally become a tail of two cities, the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated (thanks to our government). Across the nation we have implemented segregation practices based on vaccination status, moreover if you aren't vaccinated there are many work places that will terminate you (Federal institutions, Law Enforcement agencies, Hospitals etc).

Many countries across the globe are feeling the effects of supply shocks and possible impending economic collapse.

What do you think will happen next on a grand (worldwide) scale that will further change the way in which we experience reality?

Easy. Next will be scarcity of centrally controllled resources and lower standard of living...virtual living.

The whole reduce CO2 movement from the .1% should have clued everyone in on what is in store.

The Green New Deal movement (see AOC and rest of those riffraff) is becoming a real phenomenon. Carbon emissions trading is showing promise particularly in China, albeit at a slow pace. I have no doubt that electric cars and the such will be the reality of the future, as well as other means to reduce carbon emissions.

Scarcity of resources will continue to worsen. That's part of the entire eugenicist movement that Bill Gates and family (literally his parents) always aimed for. Too many human reproducing at exponential rates and you have a limited supply of resources across the globe to sustain human life, a game of supply & demand where our demand will slowly overwhelm our supply. Hence why he recently purchased so much land across the USA and with direct access to the ocean.

Do you (anyone else can feel free to answer) believe that things will ever go back to the semblance of normal that we had before? I believe that things will only continue to get worse.

Simple.

Diversify your assets. Some gold, some diamonds, some index funds, some property and land.

I'm talking things that beats inflation in an abused currency

I'm sure people in Zimbabwe wished they invested in some assets, when in one year had got a sack of rice for 1000zimbabwe dollars, and the following year it was a trillion. Then their currency and life savings in currency, was worth less then toilet paper.

::)

not even in the big world wars or biggest economic depressions in history that has been a case. You're talking about a scenario that will never happen.

I don't believe we will got back to pre-2020.

Too many things have changed and the Liberal Green Freaks will find a way to encourage the world to stay at a different pace.

I was at a City Council meeting here in Santa Fe and some of the extreme Libs are talking about reducing the square footage of homes and water usage rates due to "climate change". It shocked me how many people immediately agreed with them. No more big house, single floor only, mandatory solar panels, no concrete (gravel only), water reuse for all non-potable usages, etc.

The thing that bothers me the most is that they have ZERO data to suggest this will do anything. As one lady said "it's just a good idea". ::)

All of these things are a good idea, but require a stupid amount of regulation to enforce. They are also not sustainable in most parts of the world and very expensive.

We are building these nice subdivisions with 3k+ SF homes and the Council is basically saying we are wasting supplies. They can't do anything yet, but in a few years they can change ordinances and code for the City.

This. The whole world is on a Fiat currency system which will eventually collapse with an ensuing  hyper inflation. At that point it will be every country for itself.

Not in our lifetimes though. A lot of suffering ahead.

They are going to fold the currency issue into a reset and life will revert back to a tech based fuedalism.

The few people who own most of the world want to pull the resources out of weaker hands and return to central planning, kingdom/dictatorship/communism whatever name you call it that is what it is....extremely condensed capital and technological control.

I also wouldn’t put it past governments to ban the sale of gold or to outright confiscate it.

It won't be like that, they are playing the long game. This is generational. It seems that way to boomers and gen x because we remember how it used to be. Someday nobody will remember not wearing a mask when they were a kid and it will be as normal as hiding under your school desk during the cold war.

There is going to be a huge reallocation of property and wealth as the boomers die off. Gen x is far too small to fend this off.

It’s pretty simple.

Go back to 2008 and the start of the Obama mess.

We are 8 months into the same thing now.
