It's a shame Pellius  is gone so young at 61. I have known many people that worked hard all their lives only to go shortly after retirement . He looked like he had another 30 years. RIP.

Great to see some beautiful sentiments in memory of Pellius on this GetBig Board.

I have never met Pellius personally but I've lived in Hawaii over the majority of my lifetime and I want to tell you that he lived in one of finest spots in Paradise close to Chinaman's Hat which is a very laid back Hawaiian community, and I am sure the locals would be proud to read the sentiments you GerBiggers have posted here!

Wow, he always said I was the only getbigger to actually meet me him face to face (recognized him when I was checking out a 24 hour fitness on Oahu a few years ago).

He was very pleasant that day. I read somewhere he was actually part black and I assume mainly white. He fitted in in Hawaii since most people here are mixed race.

He was pretty tall and had crazy looking calves in person.

It was concerning that a member of Getbig was missing. I believed Josh was being forthright when he posted the obituary. There was a strong possibility Pellius had passed. Many Getbiggers were speculating about it. My investigative abilities are fairly keen.

I don't celebrate anyone's death, regardless how I personally feel about them, how they acted towards me or whether we were friends or foes.

Many of my family, friends and other people I only casually knew have passed. When someone dies, it is never easy. It is sad and makes me acutely aware of my own mortality.

I was curious if anyone knew WHY Pellius died so suddenly ?
I assume it was some illness, but I'm curious what it was ?

No cause of death that we know of yet Howard.....at least I haven`t heard of it anyway.

I sat awake the other night for hours, dreading that the news of Phil’s passing would be confirmed. I am devastated and my grief is overwhelming, that such a good man could be taken at such an early age. I went to sleep with the wonderful memories of our phone calls, training videos, silly photos, and family stories in my heart and awoke to Chaos’ email confirming Pellius’ passing. I still have heartache that makes it difficult to breathe.

For now I will pray for Phil and his family, then mourn in my own way when appropriate. My tears will be my silent words of grief.

In time, I will be okay…but not today.

Where do you live?

I mean Pellius death should all teach us something. He lived in Hawaii, but still argued about non sense instead of just chilling the whole day in the beach. Enjoy life while you can! There's plenty to do even being an 80yo man.

He mentioned needing surgery recently, I believe on his hip. He was supposed to have the surgery soon. IDK if that had to do with it or not.
