Photograph taken in 1856, showing Princess Mary, Duchess of Gloucester and Edinburgh. She was the longest lived of George III and Queen Charlotte’s children, dying at the age of 81, and the only one to be photographed.

She is shown here with her niece, Queen Victoria, and two of Victoria’s children, Princess Alice and the future King Edward VII.
