
I think I'd would piss myself laughing if my 13yr old said that to me. Then I'll make her do 100 push ups (last time took her 1.5 hours). One time when she told me "it wasn't that bad", I ran her until she puked. When she whined I told her I seen "grown women" in boot camp do a 10 mile hump with gear AFTER doing the obstacle course earlier that morning so she should be able to handle it

We don't hit our children so I find other means to make disrespect a really painful experience for them. It usually last about a year before I have to "remind" them where they stand in the hierarchy of my house. Weird thing is I'm not as severe when they "pop off" attitude towards me but when they do it to my wife (their mother) I bring down the hammer. No one talks to my wife that way. No one.
Yeah, yeah, someone will chime in how that is "abuse" but know people tell me my kids are the most kind and respectful kids they know.
