The Kakapo Parrot is critically endangered, there are only 126 living remains. They’re flightless, very large - sometimes reaching 4kg in weight - and their courtship system is one known as ‘lekking’, where the males gather together for courtship display competing to attract females . It is one of the world’s longest-living birds with life expectancy of 90 years.

Spitting cobras use venom spray as a defense mechanism, and not for catching their prey. They aim at the eyes and will hold the venom until the face moves. It will not harm the skin, however, if it comes in contact with the eyes it can cause temporary or permanent blindness, along with severe pain. If the venom falls on open wounds, it can be fatal.
