i caught part of this film a few months back.. it was one of the group therapy sessions scene. i watched for a few minutes and was awed at wht was an acting masterclass displayed by pretty much every character on screen.
it made me think how pitifully, a great scene like that would be quite a feat to pull of these days without the fucks chewing the fuck out of the scenery. hoffman (rip) would have pulled it off easily but there's not many that spring to mind.
edit: i'll add michael shannon and bryan cranston to that short list
on top of that.. every fucker these days has absolutely perfect, mid boggling white teeth, plastic surgery and botoxed to within an inch of their bastard lives. not to mention the six packs and bulging biceps
