Yes and no, there are plenty of straight people who watch the Amsterdam canal parade (I should I say 'anal parade'?) and have a good time, but there's also a Dutch saying "doe maar normaal, dan ben je al gek genoeg", which means "just behave normal, you're already crazy enough".
I believe that people have the right to express themselves how they want to, as long as no one's hurt, but I also believe that this childish attention whoring isn't in their advantage when it comes to general acceptance. It's up to the gay community to draw conclusions...
