Can't believe anyone followed Stuart McWhiner's advice on training. That guy jumped on the hit resurgence band wagon back in the 90's and preached all that overtraining nonsense not to mention his routines didn't work.

I tried it coming off the routines in Arnold’s encyclopaedia so initially made gains just defatiguing from all the volume, of course this made me think I’d found the holy grail and persisted with that utter shit for way to long training only twice a week on 5 fucking exercises for the whole body to be fair gained weight and strength but looked like absolute shit, shoulders as flat as a japs face from the front from no laterals or rear delt work, no upper pecs from only flat benching and weighing 220lbs with 14 1/2 inch arms ffs

No need to bring bhanky into this.

Hi Henda !  🙋

The chickens are doing great, we added lights and a fan to the coop this weekend. Had a Super Bowl party yesterday and ate bad food until I almost had a Shizzo belly.

If I spent all that supplement money on clothes I would have been the best dressed man in town.
😁💯 absolutely, I can't even imagine how much I spent on supplements, easily over 25k from my college days up until I hired my first coach at 28, who at that time was sponsored by one of the biggest supplement companies in the industry, in our initial conversations he asked me to send him my current diet, I was taking this pre workout, this inta workout, Vitargo and a whey isolate post workout, Cassien protein before bed, he said ok first off ditch all the supplements,  I was baffled because this guy was in a bunch of ads for this big supplement company,  he told me your only eating real food the entire prep, I was dumbfounded. He later told me that with his sponsorship he had a $600 allowance a month for supplements of said company, he would place his order monthly and then sell them on Ebay. I got into the best shape of my life and one supplement he actually recommended at the end, final 3 days was Aqualize by Species Nutrition as a natural diuretic. Since that prep I never looked at supplements the same after that prep.

Yeah.. being rich and jacked for most of your life must totally suck..

I have trillions of regrets..
women-related
jobs-related
money-related
friends/family-related
school-related
cars-related

But I think I done everything right when it came to bodybuilding..
other than buy Superpump250 once. But even then.. that Superpump250 purchase taught me the importance of being hydrated.
0 regrets.

Oh! Yes one big regret. Taking eq. Killed my cock for a long time. My ex was not happy about that and it led to many fights. Fuck. Fucking eq. It was the beginning of the end. I wonder how my life would be now had I never taken eq. Wish I could see it.. better yet, re-live it :'(

Hi Jane, those chickens are so well housed I’d half expect to wake up one morning to find Shizzo in the chicken cree (and not just to fuck them)

Nothing.  I regret nothing.  46 and feel great.

Same here, no regrets. I didn't base my life around lifting, it was just a very serious hobby/lifestyle.
It just would have been something else that consumes me like training does.
I never got into the BB drugs, so health is fine at 56... Again no regrets... Much fun and still loving it (training).
Plus, imagine life without you great people of GetBig around each day??  I cant...   ;)

I wouldn't have perma bulked. Doggcrapp stuff was nonsense. Like, don't be healthy and lean, get heavy and blocky and increase your blood pressure.

I did that stuff to force gains as a natty at the start (food as an anabolic  :P), gained a lot of unnecessary fat.

Worked out later that as a natty, it's just training as high a frequency and with as high a volume as you can and then letting your genetics do the work over time. Poundages don't matter as much, which is why you get the street workout guys and girls looking jacked.

So I would have stayed lean, and not try to force the weight to go up.

P.s.

-I wouldn't have wasted money on supplements. Glutamine, creatine etc lol.

-I wouldn't have taken tren and anadrol. If I could do it again, I would have stayed lean, took 2 or 3 six week cycles of dbol/winstrol only or with a little bit of test during my early 20s and then tried to maintain as much as I can for life.

Would never have 'bulked up'.

Complete idiotic advice which is still preached today.

Only leads to stretch marks and stretched skin.

If you did one thing different in your life then you may not even be around today

Leaving the house a few minutes differently than you did in the past could have seen you in a fatal road traffic accident rather than getting to your destination safely

Damn - Thats saying a lot - May I ask why.
Mind - Looking back certainly in my teens & 20/30s I'd of done many things differently
Or just not done them.

If I could go back in time I would have started lifting weights at around 10 years old so that by the time I was 14 I would be stronger than any high school football player that I had the displeassure of knowing.

Of course if time travel were possible I would also stop me from getting hit in the head with a baseball bat and more.  Lke I said eslewhere, I would fix so much stuff and only I would know that at one time there had been useless uncivilized people and countries

life just needs to take the hint and layoff anyone who strives for bettering themselves

If I started at 10 I honestly think the goal posts would have been moved and it would have been a 5 against 1 instead of 3 against 1 scenario or two

you end up in situations where in retrospect you are overqualified for acceptance by those around you

On my 40th birthday I decided to try super slow training. Never had any injury or pains but fiqured it would eventually happen throwing around Heavy weights.
Almost 1 year later I'm in better shape then ever. I just do 5 second up 5 second down. Never had a pump in the muscle I was targeting like I do now. 20 minute workouts are great, achieving in 1 set what would take me 3 sets of 3 exersizes.
