I posted a video and made no remark on it at all.... and yes you are free to speculate..."speculate" being the key word here and in this case you were free to speculate wrong.

Well, duh, dude, if you don't include any remarks, all I CAN do is speculate. Do people typically post videos because they don't find anything about them interesting or insightful?

But fair enough, maybe I was wrong about why you posted the vid, so would you mind answering these two following questions?

1)Did you find the video interesting because the commentator was black or do you think you would have had the same reaction to it if the commentator was white? Like, was the content more compelling because it was a black person saying something you might not expect from a black person or did you think it was so well-reasoned and presented that his race didn't even factor into it?

2)Did he change your mind about celebrating black history month? Like, did you previously support celebrating black history month and
his arguments made you rethink that? Or did you already think black history month was a bad idea and his video just articulated what you already thought?

100% right, I didn't watch that video, I know what he's about, I've watched other vids of his. Doesn't excuse or defend the fact that your kind want to play victim and look for other people to help you in life vs the rest of the black race that just want to be normal every day people and go forward. Stop pretending to be a victim.

What posts of mine have I played the victim?    Since you think acknowledging black history month is also playing the victim, I know we have completely different ideas on what that means, but I am curious about what posts in particular would make you think that.

But the amount of 'cultural' effort spent on trying to make black people feel like they "matter" is insulting to everyone. Most of all black people.  Its actually condescending. ADOS put in more physical labor than any other group on this patch of land, in fact, their experience is the most unique of any immigrant or migrant group, based on their genetics.  Yes, Natives were here but they were ravaged by the disease-carrying cave people. What are you basing this on? What most of the black people you speak to have told you? Or how you think black people should feel in relation to how you feel?

On a related note, do you think there are any elements of right-wing culture that whites should find insulting? And I'm talking specifically right-leaning media here. Like in regards to the way the media presents information to their audience or the way politicians interact with their constituents, do you see a general sense of condescension there? Or does it all seem pretty legit to you?

Whether or not he actually said or thought it is not provable one way or another, and honestly, the technicality is beside the point for me. My initial post was a glib way of saying Wes posted the video because it aligned with his views on race and he felt that it was more impactful coming from a black man, despite the fact that it's content clearly made to pander to whites.  Open racism is  pretty common on this board,  so getting him to clarify his thoughts on the video would at least establish how far off I was.
