Trump has taken the submissive stance there allowing Putins hand to be on top during the handshake

Its a clever thing to do to allow Putin to feel hes in charge

I learned a lot about getsures and body languge when I learned sign language

You should always have your hand in Trumps position if you go for a job interview and meet your potential new boss
If you use the overhand then he may not see you as someone who will follow instructions
Putins hand is on top but Trump has still pulled him in close and putting the second hand on top is kind of a "my child" move.

Why did you learn sign language?
Liar!!!!Filt!!!!

I worked in Customer service for a while

I once learned the alphabet from a chart in the doctors and learned to spell my name

I was once in a pub and a deaf guy was in there so I signed my name for him, he then went off tryting to have a full blown conversation with me.

I felt guilty after that so that was another reason
I did level 1,2 and half way through level 3 then work commitments got in the way
I can still get by but you forget a lot if you dont use it

Putin must have been wearing lifts or it was a doppelganger for Putin. He looked only a few inches shorter than Trump and he's 5'4" while Trump is 6'2".

Admittedly biased commentary:

"The cartoonish staging of the event coordination was another Trump ‘special’, straight from the playbook of his teenage-boy fever dream, stacking warplanes like matchbox toys, and even arranging for a crude B-2 Spirit and F-35 stealth bomber flyover above Putin’s head just as he made his way down the hastily-draped runner as some kind of strongman ‘power move’ and intimidation tactic, meant to evoke the recent Iranian strikes.

This type of antic stunt ages very badly—it’s gimmicky, low-impulse, and signals to the counterparty—in this case, Putin—that you care more about domestic optics than establishing an atmosphere of true rapport and cooperation; i.e. it’s more a show of bravado to the domestic audience and critics. To the rest of the world, such displays lack taste and class.

That’s not to mention that Trump clearly tried to “mog” Putin using Erdogan’s geriatric technique, but to no avail—Putin could have easily Judo-tossed him off his cankles"
(Erdogan's move https://x.com/MyLordBebo/status/1938256488994377939)

However, in his subsequent interview with Hannity Trump said the meeting was a “10 out of 10” on his scale, and great things were achieved. He had nothing but complimentary words for Putin, calling him ‘strong and tough as hell'

Putin got exactly what he wanted from Trump

...
Putin spoke first and went out of his way to list as many examples of common ground he shared with Mr Trump as he could.
In a speech that could have been written a year ago, we were treated to a canter through shared Soviet and American experiences in the Second World War, then a reference to a military burial site in Alaska and the graves of soviet pilots (it was “worthy and noble” of the local people to look after the burial site, Putin gushed).
Mr Trump, whether he liked it or not, was reminded of the “common enemy” Russia and America had fought together, of their “common heritage”. This meeting, far from being a damp squib, was a “new stage in the relationship” between the two countries, apparently.

Obviously. But the styles are so different, Putin never just pops off at the mouth, everything is calculated. I would say Putin is much more educated in general while Trump is obviously not, and it appears he doesn't care to be. Probably little study of geopolitics in past decades. I think Putin is a lawyer too. But that's not saying that Putin or Russia can't act in bad ways either, it's not really taking sides to notice the discrepancy in education, discipline or apparent 'intelligence.' As necrosis said, ask Trump to elaborate more deeply on topics and he fails. But I was called a retard for saying this, no examples of the opposite were given... :D

I've said repeatedly that I think Joe was very bad, and him being ran as a candidate by others when he was half dead was unconscionable. Joe had cut off all diplomatic contact with Moscow for 4 years, not smart in my opinion. Joe had looked into Putin's eyes in '21 and said he saw a dark, evil soul, something like that. Disdain for Trump does not imply affinity for Joe.

Whatever Joe did doesn't absolve Trump. During his first term Trump armed Ukraine and now brags about it, "Obama just sent sheets." The javelins he had supplied stopped the Russians initially when they were just 4 kilometers from Kiev. CIA built tons of CIA bases in Ukraine for obvious reasons. You have to understand that Trump has always been with the 'break up and destroy Russia' plan and it hasn't changed now. It's just power politics, everyone just wants to increase their power. It was always Trump's war, he was in on the plans and he is still with them; where he might differ is in how to achieve the unipolar US policy. Fact of the matter is Trump has not cut off Ukraine as he has promised so many times. The intelligence sharing, and Starlink, was cut off for 2 or 3 days only LOL. He is happy to supply weapons to Ukraine as long as someone else pays. Trump is still encircling and containing Russia in various ways. Only way Trump thinks it's not his war is his belief that Russia wouldn't have dared to attack if he was Pres, but how can you prove that?

Just my opinion man 8)

BTW, Trump said his comments about ending the war even before he entered the White House he now calls 'sarcastic' and 'said in jest.' He only said it like 52 times publicly.

Now take a look at this comment. Now who could have predicted that? This is a fundamentally weak man with just BS coming out of his mouth. TACO. He had the ridiculous summit so he didn't have to give the impression of going back on his ridiculous sanctions. But nothing changed about the situation ???

A lot of words to say Pedo joe & his lot Did Fuck all.

Good or bad at least Trump is doing things - He's met with Putin & will meet
with Zelensky & go from there.
it's easy to sit back & constantly criticise him - What would you do ??
Offer up some positive idea's - enough of the constant negativity that's
far to easy.

Putin has penetrated Trump. Trump penetrates his supporters, the country, and the rest of the world on a daily basis.  It doesn't say anything good about the USA when a lying narcissist with no moral compass can rise to the Presidency in this country.  Be best!!  Yeah right.
