well then stud go & fight
I don't really take either side morally, I don't have a personal affinity for either side, don't know any of them, nothing. Since I'm a Finn a hatred of Russians should almost have come with mother's milk, but my parents weren't political so to speak and I grew up in Sweden. So I'm not going to fight, certainly would never fight for Sweden

From where I am, at first, I thought this was just hyperbole. But it's challenging to get a clear picture of the situation from the US. The west recaptured Kherson. And when I look on a map it is east of Odesa. However, when I search specifically for information about Odesa, I find warnings from figures like Elon Musk and others suggesting Russia could realistically threaten to capture it. With the bias in our media being so pro-Ukrainian they won't widely report on such a threat until it’s already happened. Maybe they are begging the Russians not to do it.
That fella Krainer explains it in the vid I posted there. Like I said I'm not a history buff and certainly don't have inside information, but it still seems clear to me that Russia's actions were very
predictable and rational from their point of view. Like what guys like Mearsheimer have been saying forever. It's not a moral judgement, it's a realistic evaluation. Krainer says losing Odessa would be a huge strategic loss for the proxy-warriors. Available ports are very important. The US and the Brits have always been very open about wanting to crush Russia and NATO encirclement has been one of the instruments. The western empire has wanted to install a western puppet in Iran forever too, since Iran is very important strategically for Russia.
