It should come as no surprise that the bodybuilders who came out of the sport healthy are also the ones whose bodies respond well to moderate doses of gear. Jay Cutler just has good genetics for bodybuilding and doesn't need to rely on extreme amounts of drugs to do well.
I don't think it's that, not quite. Sure, in some cases there have been guys who died or got hurt because they were extreme even compared to other pros but it's more like some are more resistant to side effects. There is no conceivable universe in which Jay was moderate, if by moderate you mean 1-1.5 grams of gear. There are some outliers but the Olympia guys are basically all at 3-5 grams of gear leading up to the Olympia with some crazies who played with even higher doses. There is an average range. Back when Victor Balco worked with quite a number of pros he said all were over 3 grams except one.
Regarding Jay, consider also that he worked with Aceto. When Jay was tested that one year he had
5 different diuretics in his system.
This ain't moderate.
