It seems like you are proposing two arguments.
1. The US doesn’t have a gun violence problem.
2. The US does have a gun violence problem but gun control isn’t the answer.
Out of curiosity, what is your argument?
Define " gun violence " because the memes your getting your " information " from lie constantly about " gun violence " to scare the ignorant into agreeing with ineffectual laws. NPR has said there have been 27 school shootings this year alone , when in FACT there have been 13 in 56 years. They count school shootings as gangbangers shooting each other on the weekend after hours as a " school shooting " and 18 and 19 year old adults as " children "
They count suicides as " gun violence " it's a semantics game designed to control people and policy. They're asking for a ban again for rifles that were never banned , and once they get that and nothing changes they'll move on to the real problem handguns. Most of the gun homicides in the United states are suicides by handgun , the rest of the problem is gangbangers in cities with the heaviest and strictest gun control in this country and then you have the fringe gun homicides which make up less than 1% school/mass shootings which are exceedingly rare regardless of what you were told.
