Why even debate what would reduce killings? It's not about deaths is it, it's about the American ideology where you value individuality, personal autonomy, "personal freedom." In many other societies the people do not mind being ruled over, they fall in line gladly. It's like the masks in Asia, they fucking love being told to wear masks, here in Europe the Asians were the first to don masks even without any rules on them. In America if you are told you have to wear a mask it's, "fuck you, you can't tell me what to do!" Even if it was proven that banning guns would stop mass shootings would the gun advocates accept bans? Of course not, it's culture and tradition, go fuck yourself with your stats. So why even debate the stats? Of course there are rational arguments both for and against bans, it's not black or white. Many think "crazies" shouldn't have guns. But how do you decide who is too crazy to have a gun? I bet Walter would ban guns from Matt

I'm for the maximum amount of personal autonomy, it's just the type of society I would prefer.
