The FBI created a fake crime scene at Mar-a-Lago by adding their documents to the scene and doctoring the photo of the scene.  This is against the law.

The DOJ responded in a lawsuit by President Trump asking a judge to review the FBI raid of his iconic property Mar-a-Lago.  In the DOJ’s response, the DOJ included a document they claim was taken at Mar-a-Lago.

The photo was all over the news on Wednesday, August 31, the day after it was provided to the court.  The Independent made fun of the Time Magazine cover on the right side of the photo that the DOJ apparently wanted to include in the photo so that they could show that President Trump is so vain.   There was no need for this Time Magazine piece in the picture.

The Daily Mail said “Trump KEPT framed Time cover of ‘enemies’ knocking at his window among the collection of classified files – including documents marked ‘Top Secret’ and those based on ‘human intelligence’ – sprawled across Mar-a-Lago”.

This was all a lie.  The FBI created the crime scene, inserted their own documents, and then photoshopped the document.  What a disgrace.

The cover sheets in the above photo that were red, yellow, and brown were inserted by the FBI.  They are the FBI’s cover sheets.  We know this for various reasons.  The Trump White House did not need these cover sheets in the documents they held because they had their own cover sheets.

If you look closely at the photo above, the document right above the 2A is folded back.  The papers are stapled together as they should be.  If you look at that batch you see there already was a cover sheet on that document.  It says “Please store in…”.  That is the real cover sheet.

The red, yellow, and brown cover sheets were inserted.  If you look closely at the yellow cover sheets, they are paper clipped to the documents.  The documents would have been stapled.  They are paperclipped because they were inserted by the FBI.

Also, the front cover sheet in brown, showing SCI, says the following wording:

Handling, storage, reproduction, and distribution of the attached document must be in accordance with the applicable executive orders statutes and agency implementing regulations.

This document was inserted.  The FBI inserted this to indicate that the “agency implementing regulations” – i.e. the DOJ – is involved in the maintenance of these records but this is not the case.  The President has the right to documents that are his.  They are his property and an inserted document saying something different is simply not true.

Maher asked, "Is it okay to have a conspiracy to get rid of Trump?"

"They were talking about Hunter Biden's laptop, which was a story, and now all the mainstream press has finally admitted it was a real story," Maher said. "It was a real laptop."

"Now look, let's not pussyfoot around this – he was selling the influence of his father, Joe Biden," Maher stated. "I mean, most political sons do, but let's not pretend at least that was going on… so Hunter Biden's laptop was buried by the press."

Even the head of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, said that was a mistake," Maher continued. "So Sam Harris says it was appropriate for Twitter, and the heads of big tech, and the heads of journalistic organizations to feel that they were in the presence of something that is a once-in-a-lifetime moral emergency, meaning Trump. So he's saying it's okay to have a conspiracy, to get rid of somebody as bad as Trump."

Maher then asked, "It's a little bit of a thorny question because once you go down this road – this is sort of where we are in this country, the other side is so evil, anything is justified in preventing them from taking office. Is it?"

Reiner – a staunch Democrat activist – deflected from Maher's question with a whataboutism defense of harping on the Jan. 6 riot.

"You know what's not justified? Using armed violence to try to kill people in the Capitol. That's not justified," Reiner replied.

Maher attempted to get back to his original question, and asked if it was "appropriate to bury the Hunter Biden" story?

Maher noted, "They buried the Hunter Biden story before the election because they were, like, ‘We can’t risk having the election thrown to Trump. We’ll tell them after the election.'"

The "All in the Family" actor quizically asked, "And we know for a fact that that’s what they did?"

Reiner conceded, "I don’t know that they did."

Maher then zinged Reiner, "I know because you only watch MSNBC."

Two members of the far-right Proud Boys extremist group pleaded guilty Friday to obstructing the certification of a presidential election when they participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Nicholas Ochs ― a 36-year-old self-described “elder” of the Proud Boys who founded the group’s Hawaii network ― and his accomplice, 32-year-old Nicholas DeCarlo, wrote“Murder the Media” on a door leading into the Washington building, the Department of Justice said. “Murder the Media” was the name of the men’s social media channel.

“We’re not supposed to be here, this is beyond the fence,” Ochs told DeCarlo at one point, according to court documents.

“We’re all felons, yeah!” DeCarlo replied.

Once inside the Capitol, the two discussed finding House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

“Where’s Nancy?” DeCarlo shouted in the building. “Nancy’s office!” both men yelled on video, according to court documents.

The two also went through a Capitol police officer’s duffel bag, and DeCarlo took a pair of plastic handcuffs.

“Sorry we couldn’t go live when we stormed the fuckin’ U.S. Capitol and made Congress flee,” Ochs said on video, according to the Justice Department.

The guilty pleas come as additional Proud Boys face trial for their role in the Jan. 6 attack. Five others, including group leader Enrique Tarrio, are charged with seditious conspiracy for allegedly plotting to use violence to overturn the results of the 2020 election, which was won by Joe Biden.

At the end of August, Proud Boys member Joshua Pruitt was sentenced to nearly five years in prison for his role in the riot.

Ochs and DeCarlo are set to receive prison terms ranging from 41 to 51 months at their Dec. 9 sentencing, per their plea deals with prosecutors.

Cowboys for Trump founder is 1st politician removed from office over Jan. 6.

A judge in New Mexico ruled Tuesday that Couy Griffin, an Otero county commissioner and founder of the group Cowboys for Trump, is disqualified from holding public office because of his participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

The historic ruling marks the first time an elected official has been ordered removed from office because of their participation in, or support of, the Capitol riot. It is also the first time a judge at any level has found that the events leading up to and on Jan. 6 — when a violent mob of supporters of then-President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol, temporarily preventing Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 presidential election — amounted to an “insurrection.”

Some legal experts predicted that Tuesday’s ruling could have serious implications for other current or former officials — including Trump himself — who were involved in Jan. 6 and may be hoping to return to government.

“If this stands up on appeal, then it’s a significant precedent for the next election cycle,” said Gerard Magliocca, a constitutional scholar and professor of law at Indiana University. Magliocca told Yahoo News that “the most obvious way in which that works is, if Mr. Griffin is disqualified for what he did on Jan. 6, why isn’t Donald Trump disqualified for what he did on Jan. 6, which was greater?”

In his 49-page decision, state District Court Judge Francis Mathew concluded that Griffin, who was convicted earlier this year of trespassing on Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, must be immediately removed from office and barred from holding any future elected position at the state or federal level.

“He took an oath to support the Constitution of the United States ... [and then] engaged in that insurrection after taking his oath,” Mathew wrote. “The Court concludes that the January 6, 2021 attack on the United States Capitol and the surrounding planning, mobilization, and incitement constituted an ‘insurrection’ within the meaning of Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment.”

The top lawyer for the Oath Keepers militia, who was with the group’s leader outside the Capitol on Jan. 6., 2021, was charged on Thursday with conspiring to obstruct a joint session of Congress that day as lawmakers met to certify the results of the 2020 election.

The lawyer, Kellye SoRelle, was the latest member of the right-wing extremist group to be indicted in connection with the Capitol attack. The indictment, handed up in Federal District Court in Washington, also accused Ms. SoRelle, 43, of tampering with evidence connected to the Justice Department’s grand jury investigation of Jan. 6 and illegally entering and remaining in a restricted area of the Capitol grounds.

Unlike several other members of the Oath Keepers — including the group’s founder and leader, Stewart Rhodes — Ms. SoRelle, who was arrested on Thursday morning in Junction, Texas, was not charged with seditious conspiracy. Mr. Rhodes and a group of other Oath Keepers facing the sedition charges are set to go on trial in Washington at the end of the month.

January 6: Ex-police officer gets record 10-year sentence over Capitol riots.

An ex-New York City police officer who assaulted law enforcement officials during the 6 January riots has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Thomas Webster, 56, was convicted in May on multiple charges, including assaulting police and violent and disorderly conduct.

More than 850 people have been charged over their involvement in the attack.

But the sentence handed down on Thursday is the longest imposed on anyone over their role in the riots.

A federal jury in New York previously rejected Webster's argument that he had been acting in self-defence when he swung a metal flagpole at an officer and tackled another to the ground, holding him in a chokehold.

In pre-sentencing documents, the Marine Corps veteran disavowed former President Donald Trump's claims that the 2020 election was stolen and included a letter of reference from a friend who blamed the Republican politician's "despicable lies" for inducing Webster's conduct.

Jurors accepted prosecutors' argument that Webster had "spearheaded" an attack on police lines and that he was responsible for "disgracing a democracy that he once fought honourably to protect and serve".

The court agreed to suspend the final 36 months of Webster's term in deference to his 25 years service as a police officer and soldier.

The sentencing comes as US law enforcement officials also detained Kellye SoRelle, a lawyer for the far-right Oath Keepers group.

Ms SoRelle was indicted on four charges in connection with the 6 January attacks, including obstruction of justice.

Several members of the group have pleaded guilty to criminal charges arising from the attack on the Capitol, where a number of Oath Keepers were seen entering the building in military style body armour.

The 43-year-old previously volunteered with Lawyers for Trump during efforts to challenge the 2020 election results.

A National Guardsman who breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, did not receive any jail time after he testified against his “father figure,” an Army veteran who was with him at the demonstration.

Jacob Fracker, 30, pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy in the U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C. and was sentenced on Aug. 16 to 12 months of probation with the first 59 days on home detention, as well as 120 hours of community service and $2,000 restitution, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Fracker, who was a police officer, active member of the National Guard, and Marine veteran, was fired from the Rocky Mount, Va. Police Department and separated from military service as a result of his participation in the Capitol breach.
