I think that dumbbell presses for chest are overrated.

However dumbbell shoulder presses are great.

People say DB presses "allow greater range of motion" but I think it's mostly the smaller guys who feel this way.  With bigger DBs if anything the ROM is worse than with a BB press.

Strong dude no doubt. My stance on db benching is that I like it cause both sides have to work equally also I like it cause I can a deeper stretch but also why I don’t like it cause I go so deep I get shoulder pains. When I barbell press my left is about 2-3” ahead of my right but I feel less shoulder pains and get more inner chest were as with dbs I get more outer chest.

So for me I actually prefer dips.
