Billionaires spend a lot of money generally.  Those mega yachts and homes all had to be built by people working too.

Capitalism is not meant to be fair. It rewards people greatly who do great things.

Under such a system they would never have built their businesses and accumulated any wealth...and never created umpteen thousands of jobs in their businesses and even more jobs in the businesses that arose to supply and support those businesses. 

Millions of jobs.  Construction, trucking, logistics, tech, production, shipping, longshoremen, payroll taxes, sales taxes, income taxes, real estate taxes, etc.

Distributing all Gates wealth would be about $300 for each American.

I'm calculating his wealth at $100 billion.

Walton wealth would amount to about $600 per person.  Supposedly the entire Walton family put together is worth $200 billion.

That's less than one of those Covid checks.

The Afghan War cost $10 billion a week.  Between the two of them they could have funded that war for about 8 months.  The U.S. was there 20 years.
