That's exactly my point - only fat fucks and those with multiple diseases and drug addicts end up burdening the system like this.

If you go check in on chose suffering from Covid in this fashion, likely 1-10% are normal weight people who have no health conditions.

That's why I'm not getting the vaccine - it's very unlikely I end up burdening the system like this. Furthermore, I've been to the hospital FIVE TIMES IN MY LIFE. Twice for stitches.

If everyone had spent as little time in the hospital as me, we just about wouldn't even need a healthcare system.

That's why I have no guilt about this at all.

If Canadians had a private healthcare option, this wouldn't even be an issue. I could just buy private healthcare, and my use would be paid for privately, and none of your damn business.

The logical follow on from Oak's reasoning is if bed burdening, ie availing of health care where it might (only might) have been avoidable is seen as a massive waste of money this merits removing the right to take risks or make less than ideal lifestlyle choices. I can't judge, I spent a night withdrawing from alcohol on librium and felt like such scum - was not allowed to discharge. Sobered up over 2 years now and sorted myself out but I always see it as a massive drain all the hypochondriacs who clog hospitals with phantom ailments. Healthcare exists (I am insured) because we all do retarded things and we all get shit luck at some stage.
