GGG VS Canelo III
« on: September 17, 2022, 06:13:31 AM »
Looking forward to this one. Canelos loss to Bivol seems to have affected the promotion of this one, not a lot of hype for a a fight of this caliber....

Anyway..... I think we will see the same thing we saw in the first 2 fights: high level boxing for 12 rds. Though I can see a fight where Canelo wins a unanimous decision.

I don't really have an opinion on the first 2 fights. Both were razor close fights, neither guy clearly beat the other both pretty even. But GGG has lost a couple of steps to his game due to age and It seems he'd be content to retire if this fight didn't materialize so I don't think he has the desire to win this kind of fight at this stage.

Barring a JML ko Pacquiao situation where one of them runs into something big I think Canelo wins a close but clear decision.

Murata at best is a C+ level fighter and the DAZN execs had to make a visit to his corner to tell them to lay off the body attack.  Canelo is "A" level body punch and survived 175 vs a guy who is top 2 in the division.  Pay no attention to the 115-113 rigged cards. It was an 11-1 round fight.  That being said, Canelo dog walked the fraud in the 2nd fight. If he is body (esp) and chin hold up, Canelo will put a legendary beating on him for 12 rounds.

I give him credit though for literally sucking blood off of Canelo's career. Got equity in DAZN with viewership levels similar to Crawford.

Look at me.  I'm a small middleweight.  The bullshit he told Andre Ward when they could have fought at 168

Jesus Christ that's the worst boxing take I've probably ever read.

Gotta agree with Abe here.

Murata aint great but B+ is more like it. No one told him to 'lay off the body'. IDK where this GGG is weak in the body shit comes from. Murata hit him with a good body shot and GGG winced then shook it off. I dont recall GGG being visibly hurt to the body before that- not saying he wasn't but I don't remember it happening.

Beyond Bivol boxing circles around Canelo (and the judges putrid attempt to steal it from Bivol) Canelo didn't look good at all in that fight. It wasn't just Bivol boxing well it was also Canelo looking like shit. Canelo is the most manufactured fighter in history.  He is good but he was managed just right while using the right peds. I think he went easy on the peds for the Bivol fight, another positive test would tarnish his legacy. He was slow, sluggish and way off his game. If he fights like that against GGG tonight he'll lose, but I doubt very much that he will fight like that tonight.

Crawford vs Porter PPV  150K

GGG vs Lemieux PPV 150K

How the fuck do you get equity with DAZN with those PPV numbers when PBC is telling you Crawford doesn't sell enough to fight Spence?

You blood suck a cash cow's career with bullshit like Mexican Style with the help of Unable Suckerchez.  See what happened to him when GGGimmick got his DAZN deal off of Canelo's back?

Benavidez, Charlo and Andrade all beat the "C+" Asian.  And many think they are unproven, esp the 2 PBC fighters so none of them should be in his league.  FOH!

Golovkin won the first two, in my opinion. Hoping he stops Canelo brutally but the guy is 40 years old! Unbelievable. I can't imagine anyone that age has enough to handle a juiced-up Canelo. With friends tonight to stay up for it.

Long intros :/.

11:45 finally starting.

Rd 1 - Nelo, he looks spry.
2 - GGG looking his age. Canelo.
3 - Nelo, just out pacing him.
4 - Nelo, but it was a better round for GGG.
5 - Nelo. :(.
6 - Nelo, but decent round for GGG.
7 - Nelo. GGG not looking bad, just old and too cautious.
8 - Nelo.
9 - GGG finally. Close though.
10 - GGG. Massive prick sucking by announcers for Canelo.
11 - GGG. His best round.  Announcers still sucking.
12 - GGG.

Shruggable fight, but they were really blowing Canelo too much, especially in the second half.

Nice post fight interviews.

Well, they have to say something.

GGG is just taking shots and throwing a few weak jabs.

This fucking nut hugger just said

"3 big hooks land for canelo!!!" In actuality canelo threw 1 and it landed on the gloves.

Then the other guy said:

Keep in mind Bivol lost most of the early rounds"

LOL these guys might as well suck off canelo between rounds.

In any event ggg is looking a little older. His timing is off. Mark of an old fighter is they can't pull the trigger.

Regardless how the fight goes the judges and the comentators will give every roud to tainted beef.

GGG looks like he just turned up for one last pay check, Bivol beat Canelo almost in a shut out to anyone with two eyes who isn't Mexican.

Fucking jackasses.

Canelo has landed a handful of clean punches and has been more active but tgese guys are acting like its cooney unloading on norton or Foreman destroying Frazier.

The last 2 could have gone either way but you'd think canelo is on the verge of a k.o.

GGG hasn't done much but i could still give him 3 rds through 8.

I wish Jacobs would shut the fuck up. Hes been talking about how tired ggg is since the 2nd round meanwhile ggg just had his best rd of the fight and doesn't look tired at all just old.

Seems some of the judges agreed.

I had Canelo winning the first 8 easily.

Once Canelo was tired, GGG seemed to come alive.

If GGG started the fight like he did round 9, it would have been an actual competition.

Agreed.

Its just that not a lot happened in the fight. G did almost nothing and canelo only did a little more.  More activity by canelo but very little effective work. A few eye catching shots but to hear them call it like we just saw the sugar Ray Robinson stopping jake lamotta in the valentines day massacre made my ears bleed. So much stupidity from one broadcasting team. I actually lost respect for Daniel jacobs.

For sure man, it wasn't very impressive.

They did make it out to be way more than it was.
