Agree with both you and Coach.  To me, A-Rod and Big Papi are the worst.  Both proven to have failed tests where as Bonds and Clemens technically haven't.  Yet, Bonds and Clemens are banned while I'm forced to see A-Rods smug fucking face on Sunday Night Baseball for 26 weeks every season.  I like Big Papi but he fucking cheated and caught no flack.  Like them or not but Sosa and McGuire brought baseball back from the brink.  I fucking hate Senator George Mitchell.  I really hope that before he dies he gets nailed for his goings on at Epstein Island.  Fuck him.

you answered your own question. oritz was a likeable guy. while bonds, mcgwire, clemens, and a-fraud are not. A-rod is trying to change his image but most people can see right through him.

Exactly, a 99 mph pitch with 15 inches of lateral break somehow being drilled with a 110 exit velo to the gap resulting in a 95+mph throw to the plate from an outfielder to get the runner by a fraction at home cannot compare to the sheer excitement of when the bodybuilders do the "I can't hear you" hand to ear thing before a riveting most muscular.

I do know that Judge tends to miss a LOT of games due to injury. I was actually waiting for him to get injured this year and miss a ton of games again... but it didn’t happen

Then when they factor in the injuries in his 20's and it's hard to think hes going to stay productive as he ages.

His career hasnt had the "normal" superstar trajectory, even though he came out of the gates swinging. Hes had an all time great season and seems like a genuine decent human being.

I don't disagree with any of what you said.  100% spot on.

I fully expect an overpay now and the Yankees to have issues with the latter half of the deal.  He'll be 31.  Hopefully the injury history is behind him.  But it did take balls to turn down 7/213.

That's just flat out not true  He was a few ba points from winning the triple crown.

The was tons of commentary during the season about how he's become a complete hitter, saw the ball deeper, went with the pitch, laid off the bad stuff, etc

Miggy had a higher BA for sure, he was amazing, but the game has morphed so much in the last 15 years due to analytics changing the pitching, plus the shift, etc.

Only two guys in all MLB hit over .320
