Should I Bother Voting Today?
« on: November 08, 2022, 04:26:31 AM »
Blue state/red voter. Debating whether I should get out of bed and head to the polls (no thought of going to gym since going natty). They say the governor’s race is somewhat competitive but I assume the Dems will find enough inner-city votes to win. Apathetic is how I’m feeling.

Yes, vote today.  Hopefully enough Dem voters are feeling apathetic too, or confident, and won't vote.

Voting is rigged. You really think the elites would allow peasants/ bottom feeders to decide anything? Bread and circuses since the dawn of time

"Democratic elections" is theatre. It's a stage on which actors are being moved around while the audience thinks it's making a difference by participating. It doesn't work well.

Democracy is a complete failure when scaled up to a size larger than a community. Even Plato disliked democracy in Athens (which was a city-state). To be fair, ancient democracy was a bit simpler and more "direct" than what I see today but it was nevertheless democracy, which is essentially putting a politician into a position of illegitimate authority through marketing campaigns.

Imagine if Apple held an election in which, every five years, the staff vote for a new CEO. Skills, expertise and the ability to run the company don't matter because what matters is the popularity of the new guy and how cool he looks on the poster.
It makes no sense.
Hans-Herman Hoppe wrote a good book, called Democracy: The God That Failed, in which he critiques the concept of democracy and why monarchy (no, not like in the UK) and natural order are superior.

Furthermore, democracies are a vector towards totalitarianism, thanks to perpetual inclusions of more laws, taxation, restriction of movement, wars, rights and social welfare.

Regarding totalitarianism, I can't think of a single democracy that did not lock down its citizens, with the help of police and military and blindly obedient citizenry, democratic governments took great pride in pushing for a mass rollout of dangerous mRNA jabs for an imaginary virus during 2020 (A few months before Joe Biden's rigged win)

That being said...

YES  :D

The elites messed up, fortunately, and let Trump win in 2016.

Which caused them to overcompensate in 2020 when they gave Biden 81 million votes

We were never meant to get a say, ever since Trump and Brexit in 2016 the elites and their media have been doing their damnest to making us "the peasants" pay for it...and to make sure it does not happen again.

I dont vote. Never have, never will. If it's true that Biden stole the election, then that likely means that ALL past elections were rigged and your vote meant nothing.

If the people in this thread believe that the 2020 election was rigged, why are you even voting? Essentially, your vot means nothing.

People in this thread?  The 2020 election?  Dems have been claiming since 2000 that elections they lost were rigged.

I dont follow politics but the 2020 election was almost impossible not to hear about it.

If this goes back to 2000 and beyond that, then it strengthens my case for not voting. Its a pointless endeavor.

Elections have always been rigged to some degree.

In the way back votes were bought for a beer.

Nowadays there is likely less rigging but some still goes on.

That does not excuse you from your responsibility as an American citizen to vote.  Many have given their lives to give you the right.

I've missed voting in a few elections myself over the years so I can't be righteous but we must vote whenever we can.

Too bad abbot shut down the state and mandated masks. can't vote for him because of that. All the republicans complaining about masks and lockdowns are going to vote for abbot who masked and locked them down lol

You have no idea what happens with your digitally cast vote, the software has many flaws and has been hacked numerous times, plus who's writing/auditing the code?
