Seriously if we had more dominant (consistent) players like the 90's, it would rejuvinate bodybuilding. Back in the mid-late 90's we knew Shawn, Flex, Kev and Dillett to a lesser degree would bring it, so we looked forward to the showdowns.
Now the only consistent competitor today is Dex, whose the Shawn Ray in terms of condition, and Dex doesn't even compete that much today.
Melvin is the today's Flex in terms of shape, which is phenomenal, with a better lat taper than Flex, and his posing is off the hook, but needs to get his conditioning down pat...it will come.
Johnnie Jackson, Dennis James, Branch Warren, are damn freaks, but no one has really has really broken out and presented awe inspiring physiques like the top three.
When I saw a pic of Flex Wheeler in an ad for the 1992 USA's, I wanted to lift to look like that.
Now what do you see today that could even remotely give inspiration to a new breed of muscleheads....
