I have read most of the articles. If anything, there seems to be a big focus on female fitness / bikini / wellness competitors and their “coaches” who typically lack any type of legit certification to be directing drug, nutrition and workout regimens.
There has been a big focus on Jim Manion and family and questionable business practices as well as “inappropriate behavior” with female competitors as well as expectations of R-rated and beyond photos for pay websites throughout the years.
A couple of the pieces focused on male bodybuilding competitors and poor advice from drug gurus. Bostin Loyd was discussed with his bodybuilding mom as part of the interview. Several other well-known big name male bodybuilder deaths were also noted. Whoever wrote these stories likely isn’t aware that deaths in pro bodybuilding started becoming routine as far back as Munzer and Mo Benaziza For longtime followers of bodybuilding, we’ve all become fairly desensitized to it.
Anyone who has followed the industry or casually checked in with sites like Getbig through the years isn’t going to find any new info in these stories. For the rest of the non-bodybuilding world, I’m sure these stories are eye-opening. The whole series of stories have been rolled out slowly over the past six weeks or so.
