Good for her. She did good, im glad she'sok. ... But as far as attackers go this guy was pretty underwhelming. Also I doubt any of those charges will stick. A defense attorney will get it plead down to probation and misdemeanor battery. Sure, he chased her around and wrestled her down to the ground but he really wasn't trying to beat her ass. He probably most definitely would've raped her had he had the chance but, ironically, because she was able to successfully defend herself he was not able to really do anything other than wrestle her down for a few seconds. Because he lives there the burglary charges won't stick either.
Btw if this take pisses you off just remember to thank a defense attorney. Prosecutors aren't much better they're deathly afraid of losing anything at trial and almost always entertain reduced charges if it results in a plea.
Im glad she was able to defend herself. You can't count on anyone else to be there for you, most certainly not the court system. I teach my daughters self defense and they bitch about not wanting to do it. I tell them: you don't have to like it but you definitely have to know it..
