I drank up to three gallons of milk a day along with 12 + eggs a day, a couple of pounds of ground beef a day and maybe a pint or two of whipping cream a day. I usually trained between 2 and 3 hours a day, six days a week. I used to take a couple hundred desiccated liver tablets a day along with a vitamin/mineral supplement but stopped that as I couldn't really afford that stuff.
I also ate a ton of stuff just for the calories. Thinks like a dozen donuts, a gallon of Coca Cola and a couple of quarts of chocolate milk. I worked as a laborer, a painter and a bouncer so I needed the calories. Yes, I could easily drink a gallon of milk and would sometimes pick $20 or more by taking the bet that I couldn't drink a gallon of milk within an hour and not throw it up. My second youngest brother would find someone that didn't know me at the disco and make the bet.
These guys in the video act like it's "hard" to put away calories and maybe it is for most folk, but...If your metabolism is fast to begin with and you're are a big, slow, manual labor kind of guy, well...It is pretty easy to eat and drink those calories. This was nearly 5 decades ago and I no longer do that as I am not supposed to. But yes, that is how many of my friends back in the '70s trained with the exception being they didn't drink milk like I did. J.C. Hise and his milk and breathing squats routine were my inspiration and it worked for me.
