Berserker Spirit, Berserker Rage, aka Savage mode
« on: April 01, 2023, 07:20:42 AM »
We've all heard of people going completely savage and being impervious to pain and having strength and abilities they normally wouldn't have in a normal state of mind under PCP. I've never seen it myself only heard. I've heard of people achieving it under drug use and I heard of people achieving it naturally while under extreme duress.

Watch MMA fighter Anthony Smith's account with a home invader. I think this guy had berserker rage. I also heard from a retired FBI agent in an interview about two brothers doing a ritual and going under berserker rage and killing 6 fbi agents they were eventually killed during the battle.

Can you imagine Jon Jones in berserker mode? Can you imagine Bhanks in berserker mode? Just kidding Brian. Interesting stuff. The human body can do some interesting things in altered states of mind.

Can you imagine Yoel Romero in berserker mode with a guy breaking into his house?

When Jones was able to use Cocaine prior to fights, he would come out in berserker mode and would do all sorts of crazy shit while throwing caution to the wind and had that glazed look in the eyes. Now, he is calculated, talented and just a gifted fighter.

Not anymore. They get a bloodwork (and on some occasions an additional urine drug screen) done to check for illicit drugs (and other substances like steroids) prior to and after fights.

Cocaine was great for Jon Jones as it allowed him to become disinhibited and gave him the ability to showcase all the crazy shit he would think about. The good thing for Jon is that he can still use it today, just not too close to a fight. After using cocaine, metabolites for the substance typically can show up on a blood or saliva test for up to 2 days and on a urine test for up to 3 days. So, for what it's worth, he can snort up to a week out from a fight and still be fine.

How long does cocaine stay in your hair?
Cocaine can be detected on samples of your hair up to 90 days after taking it

Good point, but as of now (at least based on USADA's 2022 UFC athlete handbook) UFC athletes only undergo blood and urine sample collections and they are not collecting hair samples. USADA had put out information about the type of samples they would collect (Found in the handbook as linked below and in particular from pages 22-25) and hair samples have not been included. They typically like to stick to the procedures in their handbook and demanding hair samples (unless strictly mentioned in their handbook) would likely cause fighters to become litigious.

https://ufc.usada.org/wp-content/uploads/ufc-athlete-handbook-EN.pdf

If hair samples were to start being collected, many guys would be in trouble!

It's why they say a cornered man is a dangerous man. He's going to go savage. Kill him or give him an option to get away. The former 2nd option of course. Lol

Why is that good?

Jon loves cocaine. Cocaine releases all of his inhibitions and allows for him to be the most complete fighter we've ever seen (i.e. the GOAT). Much like Amphetamines used in the treatment of ADHD, Cocaine causes the release of the same neurotransmitters (Noradrenaline, Dopamine and Serotonin) and for even shorter bouts of time as compared to things like Adderall.  I don't see the major detriment to his use of Cocaine. In his case, it activates him and makes him a much more entertaining fighter to watch. My view is that if they are already out there trying to detach each other's heads off from in between their shoulders and building equity towards a bright future with chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), who cares if they use cocaine to bring their game up. They won't be able to use it for the actual fight, but if it can make his practices much better and ultimately lead to a Jones that puts more asses in seats, I'm all for it.

While I agree it can make you uninhibited, and helped with his creativity that's not the same as being in true battle where there are no rules. It definitely helped Jon as a stimulant but there's rules and you follow them, you can't have true life or death battle rage or berserker rage.

I honestly don't think Jon would even need Cocaine to go into berserker mode if the situation called for it. I think Jon has some deeply rooted psychopathic tendencies and would likely require very little to kill another man if the opportunity were to present itself. That's just my opinion and I can certainly be wrong about it, but there's something to him that I just can't put my finger on.

Jon is a Hebrew Warrior. That's my answer. He looks and sounds like a well spoken passive guy but but he's the most dangerous man on planet 1 on 1 no weapons. That requires a different mentality.

"The rage the berserker experienced was referred to as berserkergang (Berserk Fit/Frenzy or The Berserk movement). This condition has been described as follows:

This fury, which was called berserkergang, occurred not only in the heat of battle, but also during laborious work. Men who were thus seized performed things which otherwise seemed impossible for human power. This condition is said to have begun with shivering, chattering of the teeth, and chill in the body, and then the face swelled and changed its colour. With this was connected a great hot-headedness, which at last gave over into a great rage, under which they howled as wild animals, bit the edge of their shields, and cut down everything they met without discriminating between friend or foe. When this condition ceased, a great dulling of the mind and feebleness followed, which could last for one or several days.[36]"

I know nothing about fighting from personal experience but I'm reminded of a quote by some fighter on an IG reel. He said "if you think you, without any training, will unleash the berserker rage when cornered and devastate someone even slightly trained you are sadly mistaken. It doesn't work like that, the rage will only work against you. With martial arts so popular nowadays an average dude should be real careful about popping off in public. Trained martial artists are everywhere." Something to that effect  :D

Edit. It was Jocko who said it. I don't follow him really but know him by sight. Is he a legit dude?

I think at the end of the day, barring high end fighters, and huge discrepancies in size, the person who commits to real violence first will usually win. Seen too many guys put on their war face only to catch a bottle across it.

Was this  an idea Hitler was trying to tap into for German soldiers?

I’m sure some government is working on a drug to tap into this mental state.

In a world of eight billion people, there are fellas everywhere who would cripple Jon Jones in a spontaneous street (bar, whatever) dust-up.

Proving yourself against a few dozen individuals doesn’t move that reality dial.

Jon Jones is not Jewish, he is a coddled black drug addict who fights in a controlled environment for a living
