I should have said … I do wish him well.

Brian has always struck me as a decent fella.

Wasn’t he anti-Arnold when Arnold was cuckin’ out of control? If that’s the case, he’s as solid as can be

When The (J)Oak said, “Screw your freedom”, Brian took down the Arnie poster from his gym wall.

X2. Brian is a standup giant! Hope he makes a full recovery. He needs to watch his health for the sake of his family. Time for him to slim down. I need to follow my own advice. My weight recently jumped to 310lbs - @ 6'-2". I am now down to 305lbs and will start going to the gym more often and scaling down on food portions.

Didn't know that, great move by Shaw.

Yep.

Glad to see the big man cares about something as pesky as us having "rights", and stuff like that.

That's massive. Obviously not at the same concern level as being over 400, but still very large.

What's your goal weight, obsidian?

He is hyper competitive, he said he can't even play a game with his family without being serious.

215-230 lbs. I start to look really decent at around 235 lbs. I plan on jumping back on a TRT regime. I was surprised to see my right calf at 20" and left come in at 19.5" lol! Always wanted to get them to 20". And I am not even training them much at the moment.

I'm not eating a ton of food, but where I fuck up is I can't break the habit of eating a huge amount of food (breakfast sandwiches, potato chips, and cheese) before I go to bed. It helps me go to sleep. I'll start increasing my activity level and being more consistent at the gym if possible. And then look at ways to reduce the calories in my bedtime meal.

That's a good weight to be at your height. Big - but without pushing it, health-wise.

Still big and strong, without some of the drawbacks and risks of being substantially bigger.

I feel like we can get away with a lot with age, but with each passing decade, it gets harder.

Better question would be: who is going to die first? Arnold or Shaw?

I'd actually judge that a draw.

These infections are no joke.

Nowadays, anti-biotics are not as effective against these new bacterial strains.

His leg could easily have gone septic.  He could have died.

I'm glad he recovered.

Time for him to retire, lose 150lbs and live as long as possible with health.

Are the bacterial strains new, or are antibiotics losing their punch because people misuse them?

I guess those two may be related.

Also - was Shaw's infection due to injecting gear?

Bacteria constantly evolves to survive.
Over-use of anti-biotics is like over-using pesticides.
Insects evolve to survive.  A pesticide kills 98% of the insects.
The 2% that survive pass on their resistance to the pesticide.
The pharm companies are in a never-ending battle against new bacterial strains.

I guess those two may be related.

No idea.

No, he should gain more weight. 450+ would be ideal for him
