I'm not sure we actually learned enough. That would mean we (i.e., the government, government officials, Fauci, etc.) knew that a lot of what we imposed on the country did not follow the science, was improper, etc. I don't think that acknowledgement/recognition/accountability happened. And that's partly what Grape Ape is saying.
What and when enough, enough? Based on your post, 'we' morphed into 'they', interesting.
Whether there is acknowledgement, recognition, and/or accountability or not. Millions of people (we) including you and I have learned a lot having personally experienced the COVID pandemic, including what worked and did not work to control, prevent, and treat the virus for those who suffered from it. I don't need acknowledgement, recognition, accountability, or apologies from others including government officials and Dr. Fauci, to assure me of whatever knowledge I gained.
Some people claim they want less government while at the same time expecting more from the media, elected politicians, and appointed government officials.
