You may not care if there is accountability, etc., but plenty of people (like me) do care about it. We need to understand and acknowledge mistakes so they are not repeated. Like mask mandates. Covid "vaccine" mandates. Shutting down schools. Forcing numerous small businesses to go under. And the abuse (by Republicans and Democrats) of emergency declarations.
FYI, COVID was a worldwide pandemic. You act as if only the U.S. imposed emergency declarations. Obviously not. For starters, during the COVID-19 pandemic, 110 countries declared a state of emergency since March 2020. Many countries implemented wearing masks. MRNA vaccinations were given to people all over the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 63 countries closed schools, universities, and colleges. This affected about 47% of the world’s student population. These closures were part of broader lockdowns and movement restrictions implemented in many nations.
When the next pandemic arrives, who is to say it will have the same or similar features as COVID and that what did or did not work during the COVID pandemic will work with the next ones.
Specifically, who should be held accountable and why? How would the accountability affect the way leadership, the medical community, scientists, etc. will act?
