Now with new head honcho management higher up the food chain, it is trying to subtly re-position, but with predominantly the same hosts and on the sly, and its stuck in no man's land
Fox news has a big advantage in that it has the political right wing audience lane to itself, while MSNBC and CNN split the left. Tucker's ratings were good but rupert was looking for an excuse to get rid of him with the legal issues
But long term they are all in trouble as noted: cord cutting & increasingly older audiences not the under 50 age groups marketers crave (the somewhat flawed theory being that those older are rusted on to their consuming choices and less malleable to brand switching via advertising)
