Just some t3 and metformin would outperform semiglutide

My wife has prescribed this extensively but always advises against it. Every tubby woman in the world asks for it. So a couple things…

It is given at about double the diabetic dose for weight loss. Only one has been approved for this, I believe Wegovy. No insurance will cover it, and runs about $700 for a six week supply.

The weight loss is not dramatic, but occurs. Nothing that will make you say “oh shit what a difference”. Most will lose about 12 to 20 lbs, and usually the heavier losses in people with a bmi over 30.

Most of the unbiased studies show loss of weight is not just adipose tissue, but usually a mix of fat, connective (tendon), muscle, and bone. That is correct, bone.

Jury still way out on this one, anyone doing it is basically a test rat.

Drop your carbs way down.  Way down.

Eat fatty meat, whole eggs, green veggies, olive oil.

No sugar, no flour products, no processed foods.

You'll drop the weight.
Dropped 14lbs recently doing this.

So is 1/3 fat loss?

Also now that we know this information, do we think this is how Bhanks dieted for his show?

I’m not fat, but not ripped either. Shit, I’ve sent Chaos shirtless pics (no homo), he’d maybe back me up. That is, unless I have some sort of Hankins body dysmorphia. ???

I just need to get my shit together and have self control over food. The more I work out, and more calories I burn, the ore I eat. I’m always right at the same look, whether I’m biking 5 days a week or doing nothing. SoulCrusher gave me a little diet plan/advice about nine years ago and I got pretty light. Felt better too. I was 228lbs and currently sit at 250. I’m 6’4 though so I can kind of carry it.

Evidently no semiglutide for me.

No need to feel hungry if you eat the right things.

High fat, moderate protein, very low carb.

Eat fatty meat, eggs, cheese until you are full.

When you are hungry eat more meat and eggs.

Want an occasional drink of booze?  Drink hard liquor like vodka, whiskeys, no mixed drinks though, no beer.

>

Best foods to eat:

Meat, eggs, fish
Non-starch vegetables (green like broccoli)
Berries (but sparingly)
Cheese, cream
Nuts, seeds
Butter, healthy oils

Foods not to eat:

Juices
Fruit (not often)
Flour products
Grains (rice, wheat, cereals, etc.)
Sugars
Low fat foods
Margarine, cool whip
Trans fats (hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated foods)
Mixed drinks
Beer (raises estrogen levels, too many carbs)

7 foods not to eat - Dr. Ken Berry:

Pizza
Waffles, pancakes & syrup
Pasta
Hamburgers (buns and toppings are bad)
Hotdogs (buns and toppings are bad)
Angel food cake
Chicken nuggets
(Don't eat grains, sugars, vegetable oils)

I have no issue with grains - wheat, quinoa, oats.....I'm not sold on the pundits like Saladino who say they are so bad for you.

I think it depends on the individual.

If I wanted to lose a ton of fat and get ripped, I'd cut them for sure.  But I think they help me for performance.

Like I said before, I haven't read up on semiglutide but just a traditional diet can have you lose lots of muscle, especially if you eat low protein and/or don't weight train. So it may not have anything to do with the drug.

Have you ever tracked weight and calories for any extended period of time?  Asking because I know a lot of people "diet blindly".....meaning, what you think you're eating vs what you actually are can vary greatly.

Works for both bulk/cut.

I used “my fitness pal” app a while back and it helped track calories. I was able to stay at 2,000 calories a day. It also made me realize how much I was actually eating prior to dieting. I tried to start using it again, but now you have to sign up and pay in order to use the barcode scanner portion. Headed to the Caribbean in two months so I need to start my diet next week.

Yo-Yo dieting only is a temporary fix.
