I had an umbilical hernia fixed all the way back in 1997. I continued lifting heavy, not giving a shit. Now I have severe diastasis recti, what pregnant women sometimes get, ugly as hell. I think I might have made it worse by insisting on not wearing a belt ever - almost. "This is my belt!" - Konstantinov reference. Hardcore  ::)

I had a double inguinal hernia at 22 and got it fixed immediately. Glad I did.

I've had a hernia in the middle of my stomach since 2009. Doesn't bother me. The leaner I am the more it will push out a little. Doctor told me as long as I'm can push it back in I'm good. I was like what?! Thought that was kind of crazy but I've been fine all these years

Bhank's umbilical hernia (at his belly button) would be nothing more than a 2 cm incision with a maximum of two weeks to recover.

This is absolutely not a serious medical condition in an adult.

Regardless I don't like it I have insurance that will cover it so I am getting it fixed Dr told me 2 weeks nothing and 6 weeks no weightlifting over 10lbs but yeah it's not life threatening, and I shouldn't waste away to nothing in 6 weeks

After the 6 week recovery, how long will you have to prep for Pittsburgh?

You don't lift as it is so there should be no worries on your end.

You've stood your ground so far, I'll give you that

I had an umbilical hernia fixed all the way back in 1997. I continued lifting heavy, not giving a shit. Now I have severe diastasis recti, what pregnant women sometimes get, ugly as hell. I think I might have made it worse by insisting on not wearing a belt ever - almost. "This is my belt!" - Konstantinov reference. Hardcore  ::)

Isn't that what Haney and McCarver had?

And I recently strained my abs for the first time ever - under the top row - f*ck me it was painful for a week or two - and I haven't used a belt for years.  That said I'm more of a pumper than a lifter nowadays, and it was only 225 on front squats, so I've probably avoided setting myself up for anything long term (fingers crossed)  Hope you stay well

That’s actually a very nice and expensive set of Lenox dishes the British colonial collection reminded me of Hawaii. I purchased the set myself as it reminded me of Hawaii. I have the full set with mugs and serving dishes although some coffee mugs did break. You should see my Antique China in the cabinet that’s the real good stuff

This is an interesting pattern. I have not heard of or seen it before. Can see were it reminds you of Hawaii. What is the pattern and manufacturer of the plate in the second picture?

My wife brought a 'dowry' of sorts when we married. Among many other pieces from the 1930's and before are two sets of twelve service plates/chargers, which I display in the dining room china cabinet. Below is a photo of them. The two on the third shelf are 'Favorite' by Royal Bavarian and the plate with the green rim and flowers is La Cloche by Limoges. The Limoges service plates work well with the pattern and colors on 'Olympia' by Noritaki which we bought used at an antique store. Aside from two missing coffee cups this is a complete service for twelve. They are all old fashioned patterns which don't suit my daughter's modern aesthetic, so they will probably end up in an estate sale after I die.

This footed cream soup and saucer is from the Olympia dinnerware set.

I inherited this 'Wood Violet Square' pattern by Orchard from the 1960's from my mom. I gave the set to my daughter, because it is more to her taste. It is impossible to find today and when you do is expensive, which I am pretty sure it was not originally.
