It probably depends on the type of cancer but my guess is there's a good chance they can have an effect through pathways and mechanism we have not even heard about. Androgen receptors are everywhere. In bones, brain, muscles, kidneys etc. Steroids can affect IGF-1 too. Anadrol has been shown to cause liver cancer. Estrogen fuels breast cancer. Pretty sure AAS can affect testicular cancer.
