Is Country the new Rock?
« on: May 18, 2023, 04:23:24 PM »
I started listening to Country in the months before me and my wife got married. It went into overdrive in the misery and depression of covid. Now it's my cardio music, maybe I'm just old but fast music doesn't keep me moving anymore.

So sick of country music. All I hear is either rap or country and despise both although will take country over rap allday. Where is the rock music. Everyone just jumped on the country band wagon and lots of country seems to be going the way of shit rap music.

Fuck that jelly roll fat fuck.

I'd argue that was true 5-10 years ago. Hardy /Zac Bryan/Jelly Roll etc are all changing that narrative.

There are a few exceptions but it generally sucks.

All of today's popular music sucks with a few exceptions.

The closest I get to country is The Allman Brothers and Skynard.

Radio country is a mix of glam rock and rap but worse. They use the same 30 words in every song. It's like they write jingles for retarded people.

I love classic country from 70's, 80's and 90's. Despise almost everything since then.

I heard Country star Luke Combs do an interview and he said his biggest fear was looking back on his career someday and realizing he recorded the same song a hundred times. Then I listened to some of his music and every song sounded the same.

That "wait in the truck" song is unbelievably cucked.

> I'm gonna kill this guy I don't even know because... he made his roastie girlfriend cry!
> Then I'll call the cops on myself and get sent to prison for life, but I'm okay with that, because she stopped crying.

American masculinity is buck broken.

I don’t care for country music but country music concerts might just be the best place to meet women.  It’s like a 7:1 women:men ratio
