Just got back
Didnt make top six, great line up, got in the second call out, maybe 7th 8th place , will find out, I know who the head judge is so I will be able to find out next week

No Universe invite this year, could qualify at the England show later in the year but I think I will have some time off.
My back was playing up all day, no spasams but had to be careful going through compulsory poses
No excuses they were all top notch competitors, 16 in the class, it was the biggest class of the day

Thanks for all the positive feedback leading up to this show chaps
Will have a bit of a break from training for a week then start back at the new gym

Guy on the right only got called out in the last call out and made 6th
Guy on the left Andy Lawler tends to place well because hes Andy Lawler
Herbie the guy second left is 65 FFS, he looked incredible
Guy third left is Carlo Citrone, sone of John Citrone NABBA legend
Steve Johnson was the winner, hes won it several times before, a clear winner to in my eyes
I competed with Steve back in 1992
Carlo Bernascone last years winner didnt place either.


It was a deep class, one guy about 6'5 huge upper body didnt come back for the results, he only got the third call out.
Maybe his wife had something wrong with her eyes and was driving home.

after the show my wife asked me why I wasnt disappointed, I think the anti-depressant meds just flatten me out, I wasnt that bothered when I won either.
She thought I should have placed , then again I suppose shes biased anyway
I wanted to do the Universe this year and a top six would have got me a spot
Never mind, I may do the England the week before the Universe as its the last qualifier or may just take some time out

Going to take some time to decide what to do, I dont think Im finished just yet

Im not on any social media stuff anymore
I have an Instagram account that I hardly ever log into, thats were I found the overall NW video which Rambone kindly converted to YouTube
Im sure there will be some stuff out on youtube at some point
My wife took the odd photo , I haven't even looked at them, she may have put them on FB but I have no idea

Im a bit non-plussed by it all at the moment
Its all a bit anti-climatic, the rest of my year was a plan to do the universe but now Im not qualified I cant really focus on anything, my backs totally out of whack as well at the moment, I need a chiropractors appointment before I go back training.

New plan is new gym , hopefully some new motivation.
I will find out my placing over the next couple days as I know one of the judges, he trains at the new gym I am going to

Someone said after my UK win that I should smile more and be more positive onstage and put out more of "I want to win" vibe.

I cant go onstage strutting around like some fucking show off peacock.

I also cant remember Dorian smiling all that much onstage either.
