I am hitting 8 reps pretty easy I can get 10 on them. I can think of no greater flex than my perfect blond-haired blue-eyed clone dumbbell bench pressing at 4 years old. It was literally his first set ever he will improve. He loves it he is going to be a monster. But also we have been biking half a dozen times in the last couple days spending this week with him riding bikes, swimming, and lifting has been great. He is my son he is never going to have any academic issues not worried about that stuff at all.

I am not pushing him to do anything he wants to lift weights what part of that are you missing? I have been holding him back for years. He is already coming into the weight room and picking stuff up how is me putting light weights on a bar for him abusive? Seems like a healthy father son activity to me.

10lb bumper plates yes not from Walmart but who cares he is 4 years old he can't lift 2 45lb plates.  It is a solid steel 25lb bar not hollow. So the bar plus 20lbs is 45lbs he only weighs 43lbs. That is a bodyweight deadlift on his first day deadlifting very first rep first deadlift ever.
