Proper rack, pins, spotters, etc prevent accidents like this.

I think the most funny thing i saw was a dude who loaded up the smith machine with max plates, started to Squat & thought fuck i won´t make it.
He then started doing a pathetic calf raise movement to save face.

He was strong on the machines but he just didn´t get that free weights are another animal, even if it was a smith machine.

That you need a towel or a pad on the bar tells you it’s probably not a good idea to load up a bar with a shit ton of weight and have in digging into your vertebrae.

Same with that dopey glute bridge exercise.
