Well this is the first time I have ever done this. These are pics of my leg just last week when I has an episode with my leg. I still have some poison in my leg. The doctors were going to amputate and I refused to let them. They told me I could have this problem for up to 10 to 15 years. It has gotten allot better than it was. The first 4 or 5 years it acted up monthly. Really bad. 103 fever, sevre redness then peeling of the skin, inflates to over 31 inches, hard as a rock and at times actually leaked fluid out the pores (over a gallon a day). It has gotten so much better where this was my worst episode in almost a year. It got very red and swelled up. But at least I can walk with it. It onkly last about a week then it goes back to almost normal. About 2 inches bigger than my other one. I have no calves at all cause I really can't work them much. The last picture is what my calves used tolook like. At least the same size. I feel I am ahead of schedule and I think my leg and everything will be back 100% sometime next year.

Anyway wanted to show everyone the reason why I haven't been able to train like I used to. I am back training. Slowly but at least regulary. Not looking for pity or anything just wanted to show people a contributing factor of why I gained so much weight. My thyroid also seemed to slow down but I took thyrod for awhile and it seems to be better than it was.

It's cool that Shawn makes fun of me because I am fat. I make fun of myself all the time. It gets me through the shit I have gone through. I get mad because he acts like he is perfect and still lies to the fans and everyone else. He won't talk about anything. He hides and shrugs shit off. I hate people who do what he does yet still reaps in the riches. But someday his day will come. I'd hate to see what he says about those kids behind their backs and other people who have had a curve ball pitched to them.

The entire business of bodybuilidng is based around and upon drug use/selling- so although it may be illegal- I don't get overly upset about it.

However, Shawn Ray has sunk to an all time low in his idiotic ramblings and has elevated Keith Jones to superstatus in my books. A role model is someone who has looked adversity in the face and stared it down. And kept moving forward.

Shawn Ray is hardly a hero and is not a role model by any means. He appears to be just another schmuck who believes his own press. He reads articles about himself in Flex magazine and says to himself " yeah, I am a great guy and a true leader !! It says it right there in the Flex Magazine so it must be true!!!"

I had no idea about the history between Keith and Shawn Ray yet their arguments often took a personal tone. Mr. Ray should have stuck to the credo that if you are going to take the dishonest road, that you at least be honest about it.

Mr. Ray certainly does come across as a person who simply flaps his mouth without ever considering what he is actually saying. AS up until now, he has never had to worry about the consequences of his words or actions. Why he even bothers to post here is beyond comprehension. The fact that he feels that he MUST respond to every criticism, small or large- is very telling about his personality.

That " lose the spider fat" or whatever certainly was an all time low. Keith could truly be an asshole on par with Ray but Keith has now been elevated to a higher moral ground through that specific barb.

I always found it interesting that some people should look up to these bodybuilders and Shawn Ray has simply proven me correct in that one post.

Neither did I. He barely mentions it. Someone should look for the thread where he "drones on and on about it " as Mr. Ray no doubt will pipe in. He goes along, doing his business, with few gripes and complaints about his lot in life and doesn't let on about his sufferings.

If only other people... "cough " Ray " cough " could have half the couth of this guy.

Really, I had no idea about the severity of the accident as he hasn't mentioned it in any of the posts I have read. And as I said, keith could be a complete jerk, on par with Shawn Ray yet until I pay him to guest pose at a show I put on AND he shows up fat and out of shape (spide bite fat & ugly?), I won't be calling him out on anything.

ah.. yeah... we know. The post says that it was from some time last week. The post was dated april 30'th or something.

Doesn't matter if it was last year; it was and still is a horrific accident that definitely put the crimps on anyone's training!

The comment about " spider fat" or whatever it was is ALMOST like making fun of a cripple for being in a wheelchair. Or making fun of a person who stutters. Making fun of something that is essentially beyond a person's control just ain't right.

Did Keith put the spider on his own body and then forced the thing to bite him? I don't think so.

As long as the pictures are of KEith Jones, then that is good enough for me.

Shawn Ray is a classless piece of scum- freaking bottom feeder- I have wiped stuff off the bottom of my boot that had more substance and class than Shawn Ray. I have more respect for lawyers and politicians than Shawn Ray. I am basing this on that one comment of his.

I'd agree- if Shawn was willing to argue issues. Keith will ask about a promoter issue, and shawn responds with 'get on a treadmill, fatass' along with a jabba the hut pic.

If shawn would settle down into a fair, unbiased, non-delete argument like Milos does, it'd be great. But the rude pics don't make him look like a professional promoter about to do his first show in 2 weeks.

No those legs pics are from about 10 days ago. They were on my daughters camera but she has been on Oahu. I just got them on Friday. I wasn't going to post pics of them cause they are not something I am proud of showing. These are the first time I have ever posted these pics. Just wanted to show that I do have a half-assed reason why I can't work out all the time and burn calories. Thanks for the support you guys. It is a little harder than I planned.

I believe everyone has their own type of reaction to the bite...

I had a friend who was bit by one...he was sick for 6 months....half his body turned purple....but after the 6 months he was fine....

The thing is my leg goes back to almost normal. The color is not to bad and the size is just a couple inches bigger than my other one. The thing I do like is I had thishuge bloster on the front of my legf about 10 hours after I got to the hospital. They cut it off and it looked like the other pic (2nd pic ain't my leg but it looked exactly the same). I have no scar in the front of my leg. I have seen some really ugly scars. I don't even have a scar. I think the Kukui Nut Oil I used while in the hospital and out helped that.

I did not start any of this bashing crap. Shawn started the personal attacks when I critcized him on his views of the PDI and Wayne. That is when he started with the fat jokes. Since obviously attacking his body and physical appearance won't work (even though he is fat now) I had to use the ammo I had to defend myself, all the facts about Shawn and his past. And most of the ones I use are from personal experience. I just couldn't imagine what he would say if he ever voluteered for the Special Olympics.

Mr. Ray's comments to Keith always seemed to have a personal tone to them. Something sounded overly defensive about his posts. I am not going back to re-read them as once was enough, in this case. It just seemed that something was being left unsaid or that these two had far more to do with each other than either let on. Mr. Ray's comments almost seemed to be a strategy to be aggressive first as his defense policy- a form of pre-emptive attack.

Mr. Ray need not have defended himself: against whom and for what? Against some jerk on an internet chat room? How could it be that an insignificant person on some small board suddenly be so important to Mr. Ray that he come on to respond to these things? He ostensibly has achieved greatness in this sport whereas most of the people making comments have done very little. Many still live in the basement with their momma - that reminds me... " Hey ma, I want gravy with my fries!!"

Mr. Ray showed up fat and out of shape at a contest promoted by onlyme. Rather than feel embarrassed about this fact, Mr. Ray now runs around on this board bad mouthing Keith at every opportunity. He says that " Hey, I am only defending myself!" which is as stupid as it is silly. He never addresses any of the issues at hand.

This seems to be the pattern actually: bad mouth everything until you hope it goes away. The PDI thing, Wayne, this specific issue or whatever else. Try to spread false information or deflect the truth until no one can tell the difference.

Shawn Ray is a classless scum sucker who resorts to low blow tactics and deflection. He still tries to make himself look good in spite of whatever evidence exists to the contrary.

Perhaps his lower than desired placings had more to do with this aspect of his personality: the judges refused to give the crown to an a.s.s.
