It always amused me that despite Butkus' well-known monster tendencies on the football field, in acting, he frequently portrayed buffoonish characters.

Butkus is a typical Lithuanian family name. Out of curiosity, I checked his bio, and indeed, his father was a Lithuanian immigrant. No wonder Dick was such a powerhouse....

He was always the silly neighbor on sitcoms when I was a kid. He retired from football before I was even born. I remember watching an NFL films show and finding out he was the baddest mfer to ever play football. Wait the guy from My Two Dads? Lol
