If it ends up working to combat heart disease, the medical field will take it and sell it making zillions, in order for us to "not harm ourselves" by self-prescribing.
Like they did w/ Red Yeast Rice. It was only used in China safely for a million years before FDA power-grabbed it as the biggest money-maker in US history. (Statins).
