That’s great to hear and you were one of the lucky ones who did not have complications. There are so many stories of people being blinded from complications and even committing suicide due to complications from the surgery. Imagine being blinded from the surgery and thinking to your self “ I used to be able to see with contacts. And I wasn’t patient enough in the mornings to put contacts in and now I’m blind.”
It wasn’t necessarily the hassle of putting in contacts, for me it was I was so blind that I didn’t want to have to rely on glasses or putting my contacts in. Shit, if an intruder came into the house I’d be fucked. My vision was worse than “20/600” as in I was mentally blind and it was a handicap for selective service. 20/400 is the cut off there. I’ve never known anyone personally who’s had a bad experience but I have a buddy who’s an optometrist and he said he doesn’t recommend it, although he’s somewhat biased.
