US Male Life Expectancy Drops To 73.1
« on: November 16, 2023, 04:19:49 AM »
Quote
The life expectancy of men in the U.S. is nearly six years shorter than that of women, according to new research published on Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine.

At least partially as a consequence of over 1 million Covid-19 deaths, life expectancy in the U.S. has declined significantly over the past few years, falling from 78.8 years in 2019 to 77 in 2020 and 76.1 in 2022 — undoing over two decades of progress. This puts the country far behind its wealthy peers: Countries such as Japan, Korea, Portugal, the U.K., and Italy all enjoy a life expectancy of 80 years or more. Countries such as Turkey (78.6) and China (78.2) also fare better. This falloff has become a key issue for the Food and Drug Administration.

Wealthiest country in all of human history and we can’t even care for our own citizens.  The issue will not improve, either, as healthcare costs continue to soar and material conditions continue to worsen.  Disgraceful, if you ask me.

Clearly, the USA has peaked a long time ago, and now we are living in the long, slow decline before the inevitable collapse.

In 2021, the suicide rates were higher among adults ages 25 to 34 years (19.48 per 100,000) and 75 to 84 years (19.56 per 100,000), with the rate highest among adults ages 85 years or older (22.39 per 100,000). Younger groups have had consistently lower suicide rates than middle-aged and older adults.

Just like drug abuse, morbid obesity, as a financial drain and a statistical lead weight, is a problem that solves itself.

We are not all in this together.

It’s not a lack of care that causes obesity, but a lack of discipline. From my understanding, losing weight, when you’re obese causes all health markers to improve.

https://nypost.com/2023/09/22/obesity-is-on-the-rise-in-most-states-new-cdc-data/

The information shows that in 22 states in 2022 at least 35% of adults were obese — an increase from 19 states in 2021.

The CDC noted that 10 years ago, there were no states that had an adult obesity prevalence at or above 35%.

OP obviously thinks the Government should more but in reality it should do less. Why is it that health care costs are so high yet every ghetto rat has devices that weren’t available even to elites a short while ago?

Because the Dept. of Central Planning is omniscient, eternally benevolent, and flawlessly capable. Otherwise they wouldn't be the Department of Central Planning.

Fuckin A. Looks like we're back in agreement.

Except that I'm very nice person who says they're free to lie in any bed they want to make for themselves, and I suspect you would hunt them for sport. Possibly profit due to the excellent marbling.

But basically we agree on their fate.

I don’t believe so. Baby boomers who grew up in the 60s, abused themselves with eating,  drinking and drugs are coming to the end of the line. I suspect this trend will reverse somewhat when those of who grew up when gyms were opening up around the country reach that age.

That actually makes a lot of sense

Wealthiest country in all of human history and we can’t even care for our own citizens.

"People in affluent societies have ready access to food all year round. The diet is typically energy-dense, high in fat and often also in sugar. There are multiple sources of nutritional advice, not all based on sound science. Obesity is the most obvious and important nutritional disease in affluent societies, with comorbidities including type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension, some cancers, gallstones, osteoarthritis, and obstructive sleep apnoea."

Tbh, deep inside, every human being just wants to die, it makes sense that little by little life expectancy will drop to 65

artery clogging preservatives + clot-causing shots.

Notice the drop coincides with mass inoculations of the fucboi compounds.

The Libtard Reuters frames it in a way to make the fat fvxks look like victims of their own behavior:

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-obesity-poor-idUSTRE6214L820100302

Obesity hits New York's poor neighborhoods hardest

In more affluent areas like the Upper East Side, Chelsea and the West Village, obesity rates hovered around 8 percent across the study period.

"This falloff has been a key focus of the food and drug administration"

No doubt it has. They're doing everything in their power to ensure a steeper falloff.

People are just fat and lazy here.  Obese people are everywhere. People that can use to lose 20lbs are viewed as normal weight. Go to Italy or Spain. It's hard to find a fat person except for American tourists. Even Manhattan where it's a non driving culture have lean people all over the place because they walk.  Most Manhattan people are thin compared to elsewhere.

I agree with others that it's not lacking healthcare. It's not keeping in shape.  Doctor Cooper is a pioneer of pointing out that staying in shape prevents so many medical issues.  Just look at what staying in shape can do. It can keep blood sugar under control.  Most adult diabetics get rid of the disease just by getting lean. Exercise increases HDL ratios of blood lipids which is is healthy.  Exercise lowers blood fats as in triglycerides. Lowers your blood pressure. Makes your bones stronger. Increases the strength of your heart muscle as shown in a lower resting heart rate showing it's stronger. Lowering body fat especially visceral fat can lower metabolic diseases.  Much has been written how exercise has been beneficial to brain health and mood.

No one can prevent all health issues but you have to put the odds in your favor by staying in shape.
